After Microsoft president Brad Smith donated to a top anti-big tech Dem, Microsoft was quietly exempted from sweeping antitrust legislation

David Cicilline (RI) has been a leading campaigner against tech monopolies, and says he swore off taking donations from tech execs.

His bill originally included Microsoft, but it was quietly changed two weeks ago to target only Amazon, Apple, Google, FB.
In last night's markup (still going today), Rep. Massie (R-KY) waved a draft of the bill marked "Confidential Microsoft" and said he'd received it from a whistleblower. He says Microsoft may have seen the bill before lawmakers did.
