I remember when military police picked me up at Cantonment's sex crimes unit, at the conclusion of the investigation against my rapist. (my IO had called to say I could finally pick up my things)

All so they could drug test me, and grill me for all the gay men I knew in the army
I love how the mil police didn't think it was inappropriate to interrogate a survivor of sexual violence about their sexual habits, whether they like taking it up the ass, and worse.

And even though I passed my drug test, they still seized my things.
I am unsurprised when people raise testimonies of folks crying and traumatised after interactions with law enforcement, or alleging abuse from our anti-drug authorities.

I wrote to Shanmugam and never got a response.
I still cry about this sometimes, because that feeling of isolation and helplessness in the face of indifference never leaves you.

I can only imagine how a child would feel, and how they could endure it.

How did social media platforms respond to the POFMA directions they received today (pofmaed.com/pofmaed-v2021-…)? Facebook placed this notice at the top of Singapore users' feeds, linking to this Factually article (gov.sg/article/factua…). 1/
This notice only appeared once in my feed, so I had to create an entirely new Facebook account to see it again. On the new account, the notice did not appear until after I had set the city I live in to Singapore in my account details. 2/
On Twitter, some (?) Singapore users received a "legally required notification", also linking to the Factually article.

I said some because I received this notification on some of my twitter accounts, though all have their location set to SG. 3/
