I had to look up what that tube is in the corner. It's a pneumatic elevator, and I want one ASAP. Kicks laundry chute butt! #SundayNightZillow
At first I was, like, is that a tardis? A bathroom in the laundry room? A shower? A Star Trek vaporizer? My wife thought it might be a clothes steamer. Then I figured it out. No more trekking up and down stairs with laundry.
This is a classy dream house really, if you happen to have $2.25M lying around.
8BR, 5BA, 6K sf, awesome kitchen, "Stroll home from dinner at the York Harbor Inn or Stage Neck Inn" (4.6 & 4.7 stars respectively on Yelp).
Your tardis-looking elevator also has stops in the office and the exercise room. Sweet! I'd be cracking lame Wonka jokes all the time if I lived here. #SundayNightZillow
I assume whoever lives here has a Washington, D.C. connection. Because otherwise this is a weird thing to have in your perfect Maine mansion. #SundayNightZillow
I have since learned that home pneumatic elevators are a thing and typically cost $30K to $50K. Seems reasonable especially for seniors, etc. elevators.com/residential-el…
Fun, informative video shows the installation process for one of these home pneumatic vacuum elevators. They say they patented theirs?
Brilliant.
Regretfully this at first glance perfect house appears to *lack A/C.* That is definitely a first in my experience: a $2.25M house with an elevator but no air conditioning. Is this a Maine thing?

Two years ago, Congress considered banning 18-20 year-olds from buying AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles after the Uvalde massacre, and some Republicans were briefly open to doing so but ultimately blocked including a ban in the bipartisan gun bill signed by Biden.
Then-Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a law raising the age to buy guns in his state to 21 after the Parkland massacre, but then opposed doing the same for the nation as a US Senator. He told reporters it was easier to do it at the state level.
McConnell actually enacted a law one day to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21. But he didn't want to talk two years ago about a proposal to raise the age for buying rifles.
Soaring cost estimates for extending Trump tax cuts set up a crucial 2025 fight:
*CBO puts tab at $4.6 Trillion over next decade
*Fight comes with US debt far higher than 2017, interest costs ballooning & Social Security cliff looming...
w/@chrisjcondon bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
*Trump wants more tax cuts, along with massive new tariffs — aka a tax on imports — that would raise consumer prices but offset at least some of the cost.
*Biden wants to extend breaks <$400K a year paired with higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
If past is prologue, Congress will again play Santa Claus. With a few exceptions, Congress has repeatedly increased spending and cut taxes since 2001.
