Whilst most of the activity remains technically unsophisticated, US agencies have responded to some incidents where victims have seen limited physical disruptions from unauthorised users.

Is the message claiming to be from someone official? Perhaps your bank, doctor, solicitor, or a government department. Criminals often pretend to be important people or organisations.
2⃣Urgency
Are you told you have a limited time to respond (such as 'within 24 hours' or 'immediately')? It might be accompanied with a threat of fines or other negative consequences.
