A thread about who Asase Hibiki is and why this cat Neko won't stop talking about her.
Also since Takamine and Ako Domeki were important figures in Hibiki story I will retell their story too
It's gonna be quite a long historical thread

Asase Hibiki was a shrine maiden who lived 500 years ago, she traveled from Asase shrine to Grand Narukami shrine to develop her technique. She was the mentee of Kitsune Saiguu as well as the lover of Takamine,a samurai warrior who was also the owner of these 2 weapons .

Let us travel back to ancient Inazuma 500 years ago to relive its history, starting with Takamine. In his youth,he was wandering around Mt.Yougou when he met the great Tengu. He made a wager with her,which ended in a draw. Takamine temporarily became the Tengu's servant -

-in exchange for gaining ownership over the Thundering Pulse,a bow gifted by Baal. He followed the Tengu to the Grand Narukami shrine, where he met many important figures : Kitsune Saiguu, Kamuna Harunosuke ,Mikoshi Nagamasa and the shrine maiden Asase Hibiki

Takamine and Hibiki soon grew close, Kitsune Saiguu enjoyed teasing Hibiki over this which embarrassed her. Takamine was a master of archery and swordsmanship but he was much more renowned for his skill with the blade so he taught the Tengu archery to Hibiki to avoid wasting it

After his servitude with the Tengu ended,he gained Baal's recognition thanks to a recommendation letter from his master and became a Hatamoto. The Raiden Shogun personally bestowed upon him the Mistsplitter sword as a reward for his achievements.

Despite his love with Hibiki,he was forced to marry a high ranking samurai's daughter. Few years later, the Cataclysm struck. Darkness spreaded all over Teyvat. In Mondstandt,Rostam and Arundolyn led an expedition to the Abyss. In Liyue, Rex Lapis fought alongside the Adepti.

In Inazuma, Raiden Shogun led an army of the most elite samurai, including Takamine,to battle the dark hordes. He was separated during the battle and was forced to fight the endless waves of monsters until his sword broke. Overwhelmed, he stucked under the Abyss,unable to emerge

Somehow, Takamine managed to survive and return to Inazuma many years later only to be shot down by Hibiki by the same bow that he gifted her. She viewed her act as saving him since he was thought to have been corrupted by the Abyss.

The aftermath : The Great Tengu, who had been the Kitsune Saiguu's protector (Takamine's master) went on a self-imposed exile for her failure, master Kamuna (picture) left Inazuma,Mikoshi Nagamasa joined the Shogunate to restore the family honor after Chiyo's betrayal.

Before we continue Hibiki story ,I will recap the story of the sons of Oni Chiyo:
Mikoshi Nagamasa and Iwakura Doukei .

Mikoshi Nagamasa was the adopted son of Oni Chiyo,he was the one who created the claymore Katsuragiriki Nagamasa. His brother, Iwakura Doukei was the biological son of Chiyo, while Mikoshi joined the Shogunate after Chiyo's betrayal, Iwakura went into reclusion out of shame.

Iwakura learned his sword art from a Tengu after he was able to touch her feather, Iwakura blade was the prototype for this katana. Iwakura became the sword instructor for Kujou clan,he established the Iwakura clan. The samurai puppet Maguu Kenki was built based on Iwakura art.

Back to Hibiki story. After Kitsune's death,she became the head shrine maiden of Grand Narukami shrine. Later she retired to her home in Seirai island and managed the Asase shrine with the help of Neko and the pirate captain Ako Domeki, who frequently visited the island .

During Domeki and Seirai Island's rebellion against the Shogunate,Hibiki chose to assist him due to their friendship and his resemblance to Takamine. She unsealed and released the Thundering Manifestation to destroy the Shogunate's ships.

This action resulted in the catastrophe that caused the massive electro storm around Seirai Island. There were no sign of Hibiki after that, it's possible that she had lost her life during it. The cat Neko is now still waiting for Hibiki to return even after 500 years .

The notorious pirate captain Ako Domeki,he was called the "DEATHLESS ONI OF SEIRAI". He commandeered a fleet of over 10 ships ,the polearm "the Catch" was his weapon. He was able to defeat a Maguu Kenki and brought it on his ship. During the ferocious storm in Seirai island-

-his crew were swept away, the fleet became stranded on the Golden Island Archipelago as a result along with the Maguu Kenki that they have brought . Eventually they managed to escape the Island along with other inhabitants on it, leaving the Maguu Kenki behind.

Ako Domeki returned to Seirai Island only to find it now in ruins, there he made his final vow - to fulfill Hibiki's wish to see the world in her place and sailed away once again. His old ship Seiraimaru (picture) can still be found on the island. The end
