Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani was greatest Sufi Saint of Kashmir.

He imposed 20 mandatory commandments on Hindus of Kashmir. A Hindu could be could be kiIIed and his property confiscated if he violated any of these conditions.

This law was strictly implemented for almost 500 years Image
This Sufi Shah Hamadan's mosque was constructed after the destruction of Kali temple at the site.

Even to this day, a Sindoor mark of the old temple and an old spring dedicated to the Goddess can be seen on the foundations of the mosque. ImageImage
Baharistan-I-Shahi, a 17th century Persian chronicle which praises Sufis of Kashmir , gloats that Hamadan built his mosque on top of a Hindu temple. Image
According to Tarikh I Kashmir, Sufi Hamadani asked the Brahman of the Kali temple to recite Shahada and give up Hinduism ("idolatry").

The Brahman refused to chant Shahada. Enraged, Sufi Hamadani cut the Brahman's tongue along with his Janeu.

Both were put on public display.

Javed Akhtar's family including his father & father-in-law Kaifi Azmi were Pakistan supporters.
Azmi wrote poems in support of creation of Pakistan.

After partition, they stayed back to safeguard properties.

Azmi wrote poems warning of an uprising when somnath temple was built
If Javed Akhtar is criticising a bankrupt and broken Pakistan today, that is merely because he is flogging a dead horse and has nothing to lose.

He is the same person who compares RSS to Taliban, opposes CAA and hypes Jamia criminals as sheroes.
People hyping his speech have yet to realise that our biggest enemies actually exist on this side of the border.

Savitribai was indeed a British Missionary. Nobody's declaration is needed.

She was trained by missionaries & her school was organized & funded by Missionaries.

This question was asked in KBC 13.

How does a Noball Prize fact checker miss basic facts?

Here is Savitribai Phule in her own words. In this letter, she proudly boasts that her husband was honored by the British Government for doing the work of Jesus
Savitribai Phule praised British rule and prayed for permanence of British rule. She wrote many poems praising Christian religion and Jesus Christ. She never hid her Christian affiliation and never made a secret of her missionary work

Hotee was a Bengali Hindu widow.

She was a scholar of Sanskrit Poetry, Law, Mathematics and Ayurveda.

She established a School in Varanasi for women. She was awarded the title "Vidyalankar" by Kashi Pandits.

This was BEFORE Savitribai was even born.

First female teacher who? https://t.co/Q2DnxZ1V0N

Hotee Vidyalankar died 21 years BEFORE Savitribai Phule was even born.

Why is she ignored and why is Savitribai Phule falsely acknowledged as "first female teacher"? Is it because Hotee was just an orthodox Hindu Brahmin lady and NOT an agent of British missionaries?
Harkunwar Sethani was an orthodox Jain lady. She built Maganlal Karamchand School for girls in Ahmedabad. The construction was started in 1847 (completed 1850) which was one year BEFORE Savitribai Phule's "school".

Why are hundreds of women like them ignored to hail Savitribai?

How cute!

Your father was a member of Muslim league. Why did he stay back even after several members of your family left? What was the intention of staying back after contributing to partition and breaking up of the country?
Since the topic is Naseeruddin shah's ancestors, we should begin with his great great grandfather Jan Fishan Khan. He was originally from Afghanistan.

He served as a mercenary for British against Marathas and was granted a piece of land for his services.
In 1857, Jan Fishan Khan fought along with the British against the forces of Jhansi Lakshmi Bai.

For his loyal service, the British granted him land in India (Sardhana, UP) and a pension of 1,000 rupees. Then, he brought his family to India. Naseeruddin Shah is his descendant!

New Year and Christianity:

It is often claimed that New Year is a Christian festival. And that the current Gregorian New Year on January 1 was first instituted by Pope Gregory in 16th century. Is that really so?

Thread
According to Bible, New Year does NOT occur in the winter month of January.

It rather occurs in Spring in the month of Nisan (March-April).

This was precisely when the Early Christians celebrated new year.

So how did the New Year "change"? Read on Image
Until 1752, Christians of England and US celebrated the New Year on March 25.

"The year begins on 25th day of March"
