Wow. Just got the letter I was dreading from HR.

Since we have multiple contracts with the federal government, I am mandated to get vaccinated.

I am an engineer who works from home… I have zero contact with others.

I don’t think y’all realize how wide this applies.

Here are the exemption letters as well as the company Email from HR.

We are one of the largest firms in the country. Offices in multiple states.

We work as subs for the arch in most situations, also prime at times for state projects with fed funding.

This is wide reaching.

It is incredible to me because I didn’t think for a second we would get hit with this, since I have never seen a federal direct prime contract.

But since our projects receive fed funding, they are mandating it.

Absolutely insane. This applies to basically everyone.

This is the response I sent to HR right after receiving the email.

Haha as you can tell I was not happy. Haven’t seen a response 🤣

Luckily our HR chick is pretty cool and so is the CEO, I am betting they will grant my religious exemption although I am pissed I even had to.

Whelp. I must say I love my firm and I’m glad to get this response.

In other words, they will comply with records keeping etc per the mandate, but they won’t be complying if it comes to firing anybody over it, regardless of if the mandate requires it.
