I talked about my parents and grandparents who lived through World Wars 1 & 2, experiencing hardship, camaraderie, loss, suffering, fear & absence and how that informed the stories of Ruth, Elsie & Rachel in #EchoHall . unbound.com/books/echo-hal…
I also spoke about being a pacifist & how being married to a pacifist & long term peace activist helped me understand my character Rachel, whose husband is a CO in #EchoHall unbound.com/books/echo-hal…
And I talked about the importance of #Remembrance who & what we remember matters & whether we wear a red, white or purple poppy or none, we should be asking the question, is conflict inevitable or can we find another way?#echohall
