It's all perfectly legal but to me it's like a double whammy b/c LIUNA advocates for jobs for their members which increases pension contributions then invests the pension in real estate and construction companies that create said jobs increasing their investment return.
Case in point this is for the Hamilton LRT in which Joseph Mancinlli advocates and leverages a P3 partnership using Fengate and LIUNA's pension. Support LRT, support jobs but who is benefitting along the way and at what cost needs more scrutiny. globalnews.ca/news/7298667/l…
