“I met Brandon Herrera at Shot Show last year. He and I had a conversation, a brief conversation, but we agreed on a lot of things. So, ya’ll should vote for Brandon Herrera for president. …Fuck those kids.”
The alleged shooter Robin Westman had anti-Black, anti-Latino, and anti-LGBTQ slurs written on his magazines

At a diner, JD Vance took a half-full, small glass of chocolate milk away from his daughter and said, “She just sucked down a full day’s serving of chocolate milk here.”
Vance then asked if the diner had his “dozen cinnamon rolls” to go.
Vance: “Oh, those are big cinnamon rolls!”
After leaving the diner, JD Vance again commented on the chocolate milk:
“I’m doing great. I’m having a good time. My family’s here. They’re hopped-up on chocolate milk so it’s going to be a wild plane ride home.”
Rewind: The chocolate milk glasses were setup by the Trump campaign’s advance team before JD Vance’s family entered the diner.
The idea was likely to have their kids drinking chocolate milk for a photo opportunity.
