Today is Vrischikam 1

Vrischikam month of Malayalam is very important for devotees of Ayyappa Swamy. Vratham of 41 days are taken before Darshan of Ayyappa in Sabarimala. Ayyappa Swamy, Hari Hara Putra (child of Mahavishnu in Mohini Avatar). Pandalam king who went
@LostTemple7
for hunting saw the child with bell in his neck & named him Manikandan.
Manikandan avatar was to destroy Mahishi the demon. When aim is fulfilled he requests his father, wish to do Tapasya in forest & built a temple there. Whoever visit Sabarimala should take a 41 day Vratham
The ultimate aim of Vratham is self-transformation. Ayyappa Vratham & journey to Sabarimala is one & perhaps, most realistic way to reach him in this Kali yuga. Mudra mala symbolizes beginning of the Vratham. It reminds the devotee that God is inside him.
After taking Vratham of 41 days and they reach temple Climbing 18 holy steps, they see themselves as Bhagwan. That is Tatwamasi means (TAT you, TVAM god ASI are.) You are part of Bhagwan.
Praying a peaceful Mandala season for all

Swamy Saranam
