Let's just point out a few of the many errors in this mess of a dishonest column.

"Capitol police officer Brian Sicknick, 42, who was bear-sprayed during the riot."

Not bear spray, as FBI confirmed. Not even certain he was sprayed with anything.
"A minority marched on the Capitol. Some of that crowd surged past the Capitol police, in some cases forcibly."

The first breach occurred at 12:50pm, as Trump was still speaking, and not by people who had attended Trump's speech.
Ok either an LOL or shame on you, fraud.

"Violent confrontations that left Ashli Babbitt shot dead." No mention of the cop who killed her.
"He made his way into the House chamber and mounted the speaker’s podium, where the vice president had stood until he was evacuated."

It was the Senate chamber.
"Julie Kelly at American Greatness, perhaps the most vocal of those, goes even further and argues, preposterously, that Chansley should not even have been charged with the felony he pleaded guilty to, because 'the government’s attempt to apply this vague law to defendants in...
the Capitol case is a stretch.”

Hey @baseballcrank what about Judge Moss who called said it suffered from a "constitutional vagueness problem?" Or other judges who have noted (in hearings you don't cover) that it hasn't been applied to political protests?
"I would not recommend taking legal advice from Julie Kelly. As it happens, the phrase 'official proceeding' is not vague in the least. Congress explicitly defined 'official proceeding' for purposes of Section 1512 in 18 U.S.C. § 1515(a)(1).

Wrong statute. It's 1512 (c)(2).
Judge Metha in Oath Keepers case (another case @baseballcrank hasn't followed) questioned obstruction charge, noting its original premise. "Scaring the daylights out of everyone in the House or Senate to me is very different than destroying evidence or intimidating witnesses.”
"Chansley was the tip of the spear of the group that actually interrupted the ongoing joint session of Congress."

By the time Chansley entered the building, Congress had been adjourned due to the phony bomb threat.

Fact matter...apparently not to @nro.

Sentencing hearing starting now for Jacob Chansley, the "QAnon shaman" who committed no violent crime. He's been in jail since his 1/11/21 arrest. Judge Lamberth, presiding today, denied Chansley's release 3 times including after his September plea.

amgreatness.com/2021/09/05/jac…
Contrary to what DOJ claims in court filings, Chansley clearly is seen on video talking to Capitol police, who do not arrest him and advise him "no attacking, no assault, remain calm."

amgreatness.com/2021/05/16/vid…
Al Watkins, Chansley's attorney, has blasted Trump and referred to J6 protesters as "short bus people."

DOJ claims to worry about "deprivation of liberty" for defendants. "Even more difficult in this case, first one arrested in attack on Capitol."

UNPRECEDENTED case, she says

Just talked to Dan Caldwell, a J6 detainees in the DC Gulag. He is suffering severe after-effects from the pepper spray attack by prison guards last week, which sent a few detainees, including Caldwell, out of the jail on stretchers.

Following a dispute with one detainee...
over face masks, a prison guard doused the "pod," the area that house J6 detainees, with copious amounts of pepper spray. The pod was in lockdown, so all men locked in their cells.

Spray filled locked and closed pods, infiltrated the air system. Caldwell could not breathe...
Banged on wall to cell next to him, begging for his life. Thought he was going to die; he lost consciousness and believes he fell and hit his head.

When he came to, he had been dragged out of his cell. He begged not to die. "Tell my family I love them." (He was sobbing on phone)

Let’s take a moment and recall how hard David French tried to smear Nunes and validate the dossier and mainstream “erroneous” reporting on dossier:
French is the most dishonest and unrepentant fraud in the NeverTrump universe and that’s saying a lot nationalreview.com/2017/03/devin-…
Haven’t checked but I’m sure French is completely ignoring Durham indictments and media’s laughable mea culpa. He’s very Christian doncha know

If the media didn’t know before February 2018 (it did) they all knew after the release of Nunes memo. Let’s take a brief trip down memory lane to revisit how hard the now “erroneous” news organizations tried to discredit Nunes memo and smear Nunes himself: nytimes.com/2018/02/03/opi…
