Ahem -- chaos was caused by @IAGovernor when she signed an order in the middle of the night with Qanon moms re: masks, Judge.

For the Plaintiffs: we don't want to live in a world where masks are forever.

Factual findings: "using law as cudgel" of the district court

District court found the way the state enforced the law (which is an interpretation of Reynolds law)

January 2019 lawsuit under ADA remedies had not been exhausted - #IDEA - arguing that a claim could have been brought under a different statute

This is interesting: to me this shows the broad way that exhaustion can occur (under more than just ADA)

Yes under Fry no exhaustion was required (for the plaintiff)

ME:

Denial of equality (ADA for kids w/disabilities) is the very clear allegation of the suit

Pushing back on State - seek a mask mandate from the school -- plaintiffs DID ask their schools to require mask and a NURSE -- to mask.

Now she is going through the steps families did take for their kids - in schools.

The Iowa Board of Education - to be clear - wants to privatize education in Iowa - this is just a fact yall.

HOT TAKE -- rural schools do NOT have mandates. They have the ability TO mask. FFS: BCLUW

It is a very - very narrow injunction - to argue otherwise - to me? is ridiculous. Because there are legions of schools - legions - who don't mask - what this law does is allow schools TO mask.

The GOP would LOVE a contempt of court filing against Reynolds/officials (hypothetically proposed by judge) re: masks it would be a boon for their fundraising.
