You can request Rinkeby test Ether at faucet.rinkeby.io through a tweet (there might be a queue).
Check if your ETH has arrived at rinkeby.etherscan.io/address/.

Once your test Ether has arrived, switch your Metamask to the Rinkeby Test Network, go to rinkeby.zksync.io, connect your Metamask and deposit your Rinkeby ETH by clicking "Add funds".
This deposits your test ETH from the Rinkeby L1 into Rinkeby L2 zkSync 1.0.

When you see your test ETH in your account, switch over to ZigZag: trade.zigzag.exchange. Be sure to click on 'zkSync - Rinkeby'.
Know that this all still happens on the Rinkeby Test Network. You don't have to add a new RPC nor change networks!

Click on 'Connect wallet', sign the message to access your zkSync 1.0 account (for security reasons always needed after page refresh, will change in the future) and sign a one-time message to register your pubkey.

You're now ready to use the exchange!
For now you can only use 'market orders' which are actually limit orders at bid and ask price (RFQs). Limit orders are temporarily disabled, but ready on zkSync 2.0. For support join discord.gg/zigzag.
