🎙️ It's press conference day ahead of Sunday's #PremierSportsCup semi-final at Hampden.

📲 James Tavernier has arrived to speak to the media, live updates to follow.
🎙️ JT: Training has been really positive and sharp this week. David, Brian and JD have been great at training.
🎙️ JT: In football people come and go, it is part of the game. I think the club and Ross (Wilson) have dealt with it really smoothly and put us all at ease during this transition.
🎙️ JT: We are always striving to be better every season. We know domestically in the cups we have not been there. We want to get to the final, Rangers is built on winning trophies.

It will be a tough game but we are fully focused on the match on Sunday.
🎙️ JT: I don't think much will change for us, our philosophy of play also filters down to the B-Team and younger age groups. Training this week hasn't been too much of a change.
🎙️ JT: The new gaffer didn't want to disrupt the team ahead of Sunday. That is really respectful of him.

I'm looking forward to having a great chat with him on Monday.
🎙️ JT: I have been in constant dialogue with Ross who has kept me updated throughout.

I'm really excited and looking forward to this new chapter.
🎙️ JT: We have 2 or 3 players fighting for each position in this squad, it makes everyone push each other hard.

I thought Nathan was great for Scotland, I'm always here to help him develop and grow as is everyone in this squad.
🎙️ JT: The squad that we have built here is the strongest I have played with, I have great belief and confidence in it.

The new gaffer will be taking over a great squad and the foundations are all here.
🎙️ That's all from today's press conference.
