Today CBS News endorsed the Big Lie, giving Cruz *13 unchallenged minutes* to say the election was stolen

This news outlet wants you to think it's legitimate to believe Trump won
This is not journalism. @margbrennan gave Cruz a platform to deny the election. She then asked "are you going to run for president in 2024?” and after he said Democrats are pushing "open borders" and "killing jobs," she said:

“All right senator, sounds like a campaign slogan"
Face the Nation since January 6:

I know this sounds hyperbolic but this is what the end of democracy looks like: A mainstream media outlet outright granting credibility to Ted Cruz — the senator who called for the execution of Democrats on Jan. 6 — and helping him erase his own history of spreading the Big Lie
The GOP and mainstream media's misinformation campaign to revise what happened on January 6 is the single greatest immediate threat in this country and nobody is going to realize what's happening until it's far too late

Why are journalists not writing about this
The amount of misinformation that news outlets have put on the air this morning is fucking astounding

NBC and CBS are endorsing the Big Lie

On Sunday @chucktodd is using Meet the Press to host Kevin Cramer—who appeared on MTP a year ago to deny that Biden won the election (11/22/20)

On CBS @FaceTheNation is hosting TED CRUZ—a repeatedly proven liar who incited the Jan. 6 attack
Both of these bookings are explicit endorsement of the Big Lie. To invite Republicans who pushed anti-democratic misinformation—in one case *on your own show* and in the other case *at a rally encouraging the execution of Democrats*—is the media telling you “they are credible”
CBS News in particular has been a friendly home to election deniers. This year they invited Lindsey Graham, Ronna McDaniel, Steve Scalise and Kristi Noem. These people all tried to literally throw out votes to overturn the election. @FaceTheNation says their claims are legitimate

Your parents are getting GOP propaganda beamed into their eyeballs and they don’t even know it, because that’s how good GOP propagandists are at hemming their message to the Chuck Todds in the media who are already inclined to want Democrats to be punished

Meet the Press is actively engaged in a misinformation campaign to refurbish the image of every white supremacist who intentionally killed 700,000 people with covid and tried to overturn the election by ending democracy

@chucktodd This person deliberately spread covid misinformation knowing it would kill people. She enjoyed her role in destroying people’s lives and families. She is a heartless modern propaganda minister who will never face a consequence. @chucktodd wants to make her an NBC contributor

Face the Nation just now boosted this clip from Sunday specifically because right-wing covid deniers are circulating it on the RNC feed and calling for Fauci to be fired. This is how GOP propaganda works: corporate media and bad-faith actors working together for the same goal
The “war on Christmas” false narrative colliding with “fire Fauci” is a right-wing dream that @CBSNews is intentionally fueling
The sole reason @FaceTheNation did this was because they saw the RNC tweet doing numbers and they thought “we can help”
