"She really made us care and we knew she cared about us." buzzfeed.com/natashajokic1/…
Twitter was going wild. My mum was texting me saying that she was crying. This could only mean one thing: Yes, Adele's live concert, An Audience With Adele, was being televised.
There's one part of the special that has captured the hearts of many, where Adele has a reunion with her English teacher from when she was a kid...
...And, in the words of my mother: Image
Though I highly recommend watching the clip for yourself, it begins with Adele being asked — by Emma Thompson, of course — if there was someone who inspired her when she was younger. Image
Adele answered without pause, naming her English teacher from when she was 12, Miss McDonald. "It was just one year, but she got me really into literature. Like, I've always been obsessed with English, and obviously now I write lyrics..."
"...But she also did street dance — I was too scared to join — but in the canteen they used to do these dances...She was so bloody cool. So engaging. She really made us care and we knew she cared about us." Image
Cut to the music from "Make You Feel My Love" playing — AND YUP, MISS MCDONALD WAS THERE. 😭😭😭 Image
Leading Adele (and me) to just burst into tears. 😪 ImageImage
“I’m so proud of you,” her former teacher said, to which Adele replied, “I didn’t know you were coming!”

"You really did change my life," Adele added, before shouting, "Mum! Mum can you believe it?" Image
Adele then goes to get her makeup retouched, and in the process asked her pal and comedian, Alan Carr, to stall for a few minutes and sing a bit of "Make You Feel My Love." Image
Anyway, if you see me crying on the subway tonight, mind your own business.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got close on the set of Green Lantern but were both in relationships. A year later, they went on a double date — with other people — but couldn't deny that the chemistry between the two of them was waaay stronger. Image
Matt Damon and Luciana Barroso met when Matt ducked behind the bar of the club she was working at to hide from fans.

One hundred years is a long time. Nearly two world wars, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Great Depression, the Civil Rights movement, and Jim Crow are all events that 103-year-old Madie Scott lived through.
Madie has seen and experienced so much in her lifetime, that her granddaughter, Shanika Bradshaw (TikTok: @/blackbeauty_305), decided to use TikTok as a way to preserve her grandmother's memories and to share her story.

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend went ALL OUT for a Squid Games party hosted at her house, hiring pricey party planners to turn their decadent mansion into the show's set. There was a maze staircase, bunk beds, and large piggy banks stuffed with cash. ImageImageImage

“I was starting what...became my bigger mission in life — of questioning why women were written certain ways on film.” —Reese Witherspoon buzzfeed.com/kristenharris1…
It's really no secret that the representation of women on screen still has a long way to go. In fact, in 2020, the Center for the Study of Women in Television & Film found that the percentage of top-grossing films in the US that featured a female protagonist actually dropped.
However, there are plenty of women in Hollywood who are fighting for more and better representation in movies and on TV — both on camera and behind it.

"Hogging is a practice in which men will typically prey on fat women, and make bets with their friends about finding the fattest and most unattractive woman and having sex with her," Megan Mapes, who goes by @megsforfun on TikTok, explained in her viral now video.
"Sometimes they will then, in the completion of having sex with her, have the entire group of men come barging in the room, and they'll start oinking and harassing the woman until she leaves that space," she continues.
