All stems back to '04 / '05. Too many reds had their heads in the sand as Fergie was getting a tune out of United. That was the time to be getting games called off. A few did their best with the protests, but it needed more, a lot more.
I've worked with reds over the years who had season tickets and only cared what went on actually on the pitch and not behind the scenes for years. All of a sudden they are not happy with the owners, too little too late now.
Easier said than done in today's society, as as much as many want the club dismantling from within, a lot of reds have families and don't want to end up getting banged up. Can't get away with anything anymore compared to the '70's & '80's.
And that includes sticking one on the likes of Saeed, rants and flex. I'd love to happily oblige, but I'd end up doing time and my family need me and I'd be letting them down.

Most of us older reds can recall we went 26 years between league Div 1 & Prem League titles, during that gap we won 7 cups, got relegated & won the Division 2 title. We have no devine right to any silverware regardless of how much we spend, we just want to see 11 lads go out....
and give 100% and be prepared to die whilst wearing the shirt. Do that and the majority of reds will love you and defend you regardless of the result. We had many magical moments during that period and also watched some serious shite football at times.
It could be another 20 years before we see another title, but regardless of who owns us or who plays for us, MUFC have always done everything the hard way and put us through the mill and it will never change. Some fans demand success and act like we should be winning titles
