There is a very real trend that has existed among white “left” for many decades since the Socialist Party of Debs and prior. Some call it class reductionism, some call it class collaboration.
What it is, is taking the idea of unity or solidarity and weaponizing it to organize our enemies: the fascists and white supremacists.
Yes, we need to win workers over *away* from backwards ideas like racism and monopoly. But that does not mean that *we* as Communists go out and organize fascists and white supremacists on their terms which opens us up to dismissal of the democratic struggles of our class.
There is a specific reason why we led the struggle against fascism and white supremacy in this country. We understand that in order to *unite* our class is to put the struggle against racism at the CENTER of our struggle.
As we fight against white supremacy we also struggle against other oppressive manifestations like patriarchy, sexual discrimination, and other forms that create super profits for the ruling class.
There is a lot of disillusionment of why so many people voted for a fascist like Trump, some of it working class. And we need a strong Communist Party to show people that there is an *actual* political alternative in this country.
In order to struggle for true Black & white unity, true unity of our working class, we need to fight for militant, anti-racist leadership within the labor movement and all progressive and social movements within this country.
