Weapons that turned the tide in Nigeria's war against terror.
What makes the MI-35M "Hind" devastating are its panoply of weapons. The most destructive of which are the RBK-250 bombs, each containing 60 AO-1SCh submunitions
..and the RBK-500 bomb loaded with fragmentation submunitions designed to saturate advancing enemy mechanized forces with armor killing munitions. Its also loaded with sensor fuzed submunitions designed to effectively defeat tanks.
Hundreds are kept in strategic reserve for this purpose and maintained regularly.
JF-17 Thunder.
For the first time since the Jaguars were retired in the 80s, the NAF has 4th Gen fighters in its inventory. But unlike the Jaguars, the JF-17 comes with a plethora of smart munitions. Making the JF -17 the deadliest combat aircaft ever procured by the NAF.
Falcon Eye Maritime Surveillance System. Housed in eight C3I underground Command and Control Centers, with UAV's, surveillance aircraft, ground based sensors and one optical satellite slaved to it. It is the most sophsiticated maritime surveillance system in Africa.
With other terrestrial surveillance systems plugged into the system, little wonder the International Maritime Bureau in a recent accessment said the Nigerian maritime domain is now among the safest in the world.
..and of course, A-29 Super Tucanos.

So U.S secretary of State Anthony J Blinken, who was in Nigeria a week ago has threatened the United States will apply the legal laws against Nigeria, including an arms embargo, if the allegation of human rights violations were found to be credible.
Amids this threats by the U.S to impose an arms embargo on Nigeria, Chief of Army Staff Farouk Yahaya tells troops to ignore the threats and deal decisive with terrorists to restore peace and stabiiity to the country.
Yet another case of a superpower misusing that power to the advantage of terrorists. In Nigeria Blinken said the U.S will no longer treat African countries as subjects. Here we are again. Same ole threats of an arms embargo over human rights saga. It never ends.
JF-17 fighter eliminates ISWAP tax collectors in a fast interdiction airstrike at Kukuwa LGA in Borno State.
The tax collectors are known to the the most elusive component of ISWAP due to the nature of the operations. Their tax collection operations are always filmed
..on camera for propaganda purposes, to give the illusion of control and normalcy, but in actual fact they spend very little time on these operations due to how exposed and vulnerable they are in out in the open. Sometimes they bug out in minutes.
The Nigerian Navy is set to launch its 3rd domestically built warship just 9 Days from now.
Seward Defence Boat 3 was conceptualized and designed marine and weapons engineers..
and built at the Nigerian Naval Dockyard Limited. It will be the most advanced and heavily armed version of the SDB series, drawing on lessons learnt from SDB 1 (NNS Andonni) and SDB 2 (NNS Karaduwa) and improved technical expertise garnered over the years.
Nigeria is a ripe plum for those who understand how predators have come to dominate world affairs. It is the most populous African country, the biggest oil and gas producer, the greatest economic potential, the biggest consumer market. Thus, Nigeria is a target.
The objective is the utter and total destruction of Nigeria’s economic and commercial viability by tapping into the fact that Nigerians are angry, divided, fed up with abuse, corruption....the quintessential perfect storm.
I now realize Nigeria is being set up, not just to fight never ending insurgency in the North, but to draw Nigeria into a war with state actors like Cameroon. A war that will bring more players, ala France for one, into another endless cesspool. The senseless
Despite its present obsolescence as a modern short range anti-aircraft weapon, the ZSU-23-4 is still deadly for enemy light armoured vehicles, infantry and firing points as an infantry-support vehicle.
There are three active Shilka operators in Africa.
Egypt
Algeria
Nigeria
The Algerian army fields more than 200 "Shilka's". Algeria modernized the processing of the “Shilka” guns and also adapted it with Igla missiles. Algeria's Shilka's can now effectively hit ground, sea and air target
During the Yum Kippor war, the Egyptian army decried its limited ability to defend itself against Israeli air raids in the Sinai beyond the 10km terrain that was covered by SAM sites west of the Sinai. This problem put Egyptian planners in a dilemma.
The U.S will no longer treat African countries as pawns in a global game.
- U.S Secretary of state Antony J Blinken.
Too many times, the countries of Africa have been treated as junior partners — or worse — rather than equal ones.
Antony J Blinken.
The U.S. firmly believes that it’s time to stop treating Africa as a subject of geopolitics — and start treating it as the major geopolitical player it has become.
