So it’s done. They’ve voted it through, The Health and Care Bill. Say goodbye to our NHS.

Every single person that voted Tory in the last election this is on you. You put these monsters into power.
I hope the day comes, at some point in the not to distant future now, that you need to access healthcare. Maybe a heart attack, or a stroke, or the birth of a baby, or covid, even just tonsillitis and the NHS won’t be there to help you.
I know for some Tories this isn’t an issue, you can afford private healthcare, but for those that can’t it’s going to be a difficult day. You were hoodwinked by the blond buffoon and now look where we are. Maybe next time try actually reading election manifesto’s.
Jeremy Corbyn told everyone this is what would happen, he had the papers to prove what the Tories were up to. But you believed the MSM (influenced by Murdoch and No.10) rubbish about him so didn’t listen.
Well thank you, thank you from everyone who now faces a deeply uncertain future health wise. I hope you can sleep at night (I couldn’t in your shoes). You should be deeply ashamed of the pain your decisions have caused your community.

Posted on Facebook about the Health & Care Bill earlier. Got a comment saying “I’ve heard nothing about this - are you sure ?” I explained what had happened last night & forwarded an article about it. I also asked if they get their news from BBC.
They said yes they only watch BBC news “because you can trust them” no surprise there then. They went on to say they couldn’t read through what I had sent “it was a lot of stuff”. One article & one screenshot of the bullet points of the Bill ! They said “I don’t get politics” !
Also “Politics don’t affect me anyway” ! People like this are the issue. Politics affects us all. You don’t have to know every in and out of it but at least a basic understanding so you know how it impacts your life.

Tomorrow I’m seeing my consultant about my Multiple Sclerosis. Prior to this appointment I have had a CT & an MRI scan, so he can assess the progression of my illness (I’ve been diagnosed 14 years - following many different tests, scans, a lumbar puncture & more).
I take lots of different medications for my illness & am likely to be taking more after tomorrow, I know the disease has progressed there were more brain lesions on my last scans). Your wondering why am I telling you this. I’m telling you this because the NHS saved me.
The NHS continues to help and support me through my illness. The NHS makes sure I have the medication I need to manage my illness. The NHS checks on me regularly to make sure I’m getting the treatments I need. I need the NHS. Many of us need the NHS.

Took our son (14) for his second dose of vaccine yesterday. We registered & the lady told us the vaccinations manager needed to talk to us. When he came he said I’ve been trying to call you all week (he quoted mine & my husbands numbers) we had not received any calls.
He went on to say he had called to cancel the appointment. He said 12-16 year olds were not being given a second dose as they had limited supplies of the vaccine. I explained we are CEV & had spoken to our GP who had confirmed this to the vaccination manager.
Eventually he reluctantly said ok he can have it. A lad (also 14) who had arrived just behind us, & alone, was not so lucky & was turned away. Whilst in the queue a nurse came to count how many people were waiting for jabs - it was 11.
