The Enabling Act for Covid19 Emergency Situation was approved by Israeli Parliament on July 22, 2020.

What does the law mean?

The government and the small body that was formed within the government which is called “Coronavirus Cabinet”, received unprecedented powers:

1. Powers to limit freedom of movement, occupation, body autonomy, etc. >>

2. All Coronavirus Cabinet's decisions go into effect immediately. Meaning, without any parliamentary scrutiny. Meaning, the Parliament is no longer in the game

3. Corona Cabinet’s meetings are secret. There are no protocols. Actually, all protocols remain secret for 30 years!>>

Meaning, there is no democracy any more. This law was supposed to be temporary. It’s supposed to be expired next week, on November 30, 2021.

Next week Israeli parliament is supposed to receive its powers back (alleluia!!) >>

But our government is (probably) addicted to power. It wants to extend the Enabling Act for two months till January 2022, then till the end 2022 and also receive additional powers.

What does it mean "additional powers"?? >>

The government wants powers to violate human rights not only in the context of C19, but also in other situations.

For example, our government is already talking about Public Transportation Emergency (WTF??) >>

It's important to understand, that there is no any emergency situation in Israel right now. 

In particular, there are only 170 ppl with Covid19 in Israeli hospitals right now (we are a country of almost 10M ppl).
