Good morning DIVINE Ones,

Meditation is the science of God-realization. It is the most practical science in the world. Most people would want to meditate if they understood its value and experienced its beneficial effects.

The ultimate object of meditation is to attain
conscious awareness of God, and of the soul's eternal oneness with Him. What achievement could be more purposeful and useful than to harness limited human faculties to the omnipresence and omnipotence of the Creator? God-realization bestows on the meditator the blessings of the
Lord's peace, love, joy, power, and wisdom.

Meditation utilizes concentration in its highest form. Concentration consists in freeing the attention from distractions and in focusing it on any thought in which one may be interested.

Meditation is that special form
of concentration in which the attention has been liberated from restlessness and is focused on God. Meditation, therefore, is concentration used to know God.

Paramahansa Yogananda.

The poet Ravindranath Tagore was a stalwart friend of India's idealistic scientist. To him, the sweet Bengali singer addressed the following lines:

O Hermit, call thou in the authentic words
Of that old hymn called Sama: "Rise! Awake!"
Call to the man who boasts his Image
Shastric lore; From vain pedantic wranglings profitless,
Call to that foolish braggart to come forth
Out on the face ot nature, this broad earth;
Send forth this call unto thy scholar band.
Together round thy sacrifice of fire
Let them all gather. So may our India,
Our ancient land unto herself return
O once again return to steadfast work,
To duty and devotion, to her trance
Of earnest meditation; let her sit
Once more unruffled, greedless, strifeless, pure, O once again upon her lofty seat

Sri M wrote in his book “The Journey Continues”: From childhood I have had dreams in which I fly through the air, sometimes so fast that seeing electric lines and low branches of trees I actually duck low to avoid them. Sometimes I saw strange places which I haven’t seen before. Image
I have seen the Himalayan ranges several times in these dreams. When I wake up, the details are forgotten. Are these more than dreams born out of the latent desires in my subconscious mind or is there something more to it?”

My Guru, Maheshwarnath Babaji explained, “Son, most of
our dreams are a garbled mixture of the thoughts in our subconscious mind and the actual experiences of one’s subtle body called the ‘𝐿𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑎 𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑟𝑎’ or ‘𝑆𝑢𝑘𝑠ℎ𝑚𝑎 𝑆ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑖𝑟𝑎’, which in all human beings leaves the physical body, the

🍁 Habitual Wants 🍁

A created want becomes a natural want in time through habit. Whatever the want may be, it gives pain. The more wants we have, the greater the possibilities of pain, for the more wants we have, the more difficult it is to fulfill them, and
the more wants that remain unfilled, the greater is the pain.

If desire finds no prospect of immediate fulfillment, or finds an obstruction, then pain immediately arises. Why do we desire and long for things? Why do we yearn for states of mind, of feeling, of soul qualities and
attainments? It is because we remember that once we were perfect, and it is for that long-lost perfection that we yearn. We are all children of God.

Purpose and aim are the qualities which make or mar an individual's life. If we have a driving purpose in life, we can

In a highly simplified description, it may be said that the fifty letters or sounds of the Sanskrit alphabet are on the petals of the sahasrara, (Actually, the sounds are synonymous with the petals, i.e., vibratory powers. The fifty letters or sounds, in multiples
of twenty, equal the one thousand petals of the sahasrara.)and that each alphabetical vibration in turn is connected with a specific petal on the lotuses in the spinal centers (which have a total of fifty corresponding petals: coccygeal, 4; sacral, 6; lumbar,
10; dorsal, 12; cervical, 16; and medullary-Christ center, 2). “Petals” mean rays or vibrations. These vibrations, singularly and in combinations, and in conjunction with the five elements (tattvas) and other principles of nature, are responsible for various

Meditate more. You do not know how wonderful it is. It is much greater to meditate then to spend hours seeking money or human love or anything else that you can think of. The more you meditate, and the more
your mind stays centred in the spritual state during activity, the more you will be able to smile. I am always there now, in that bliss consciousness of God. Nothing affects me, whether I am alone or with people, that joy of the Lord is always there. I have retained my
smile -- but to win it permanently was hard work ! The same smiles are there within you, the same joy and bliss of the soul is there. You don't have to acquire them, but rather regain them. You have merely lost them temporarily by identifying yourself with the senses.
