So you know the whole story about how the Pilgrims were starving a few years until the Native Americans taught them how to farm, then they had true abundance & thus, Thanksgiving was born?

Found this book in my Dad’s collection of old books. It’s a US History book printed in 1876…

So the whole reason why they initially chose to land at Plymouth was because there were already farm fields cleared nearby by the Native Americans for farming.

Fast forward a few years… the reason they were starving was because they were effectively living under a system of socialism in a type of commune as mandated in the agreement they signed with the company that funded their travel to the new world. Check it.👇

This is the most succinct explanation as to why socialism will ALWAYS FAIL:

“The most obvious evil was the radical one; there could be no true prosperity for the whole so long as there was no just proportion between the labor of the individual and the welfare it secured to him.”

This is also one of the strongest arguments supporting how critically important the existence of Personal Property truly is:
