And I think it's the first time I've seen that.
Dr. Salvaña on the COVID-19 surge in Europe: 'Yung silver lining is even though tumataas 'yung cases nila, 'yung deaths ay nananatiling mababa dahil 'yung vaccines protect against severe disease
Dr. Salvaña says local health officials are now monitoring the new variant detected in South Africa: Sinusubaybayan po natin ito, bagamat hindi pa naman siya nagte-take over sa Delta. Pero nakakabahala rin po ito.
Dr. Salvaña: One thing is for sure, though, kahit anong variant pa 'yan, gumagana pa rin 'yung paggamit ng mask at minimum health standards. And 'yung ating bakuna po, most likely, tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang protection against severe disease.
Dr. Salvaña: Hopefully, we can prevent the spread of any new variants that come up.
Can we afford a less restrictive alert level amid threat of a new variant?
Ang important is dahan-dahan lang tayo nagbubukas at we watch for any spikes and continue our genomic surveillance.
Dr. Salvaña reminds the public not to be complacent: 'Yung virus, nandiyan pa...
Kung maganda na 'yung supply at payagan na ng FDA, I say go for it.
Dr. Salvaña: Ang pinakaimportante is we make sure that the dose we're giving the kids is the minimum
Asked about the possible restrictions on movement of minors, Dr. Salvaña defers to the IATF: As far as I know, pinag-usapan naman po 'yan. Hintayin na lang po natin.
