𧡠1) On TikTok there are videos tagged #KinkTok which are hyper-sexualizing some form of sexual violence. The root of the trend is Porn Culture, which gives power to men to subjugate, dehumanize, and humiliate women while they never say no. This is injected into minds of kids.
2) Our view of sex has been deeply shaped by porn. As a result, many donβt see anything wrong with the glorification of sexual violence, which is rampant on social media. E.g #KinkTok has 6.9 billion views and #Choke has 375.5 million views.
3) Porn is so effective at normalizing abuse that abusers use pornography to groom victims. If you arenβt into violence during sex, you are shamed and called βvanillaβ, prude, snowflake or accused of kink-shaming.
4) According to TikTok, which is full of videos with sexual violence, β of their 49 million US users are 14 years old and under. It means approx 300 million kids around the globe are being exposed to violent sexual fantasies on a daily basis on this platform alone.
5) One study found that 70% of high school boys want to try out what they see in porn. Another study of 14 to 19-year-olds found that females who watched pornographic videos were at significantly greater likelihood of being victims of sexual harassment or sexual assault.
6) Steven Pope, a psychotherapist specializing in sex and relationships said that violent sex is a βsilent epidemicβ. People do it because they think itβs the norm but it can be very harmful. The line between consensual sex and sexual abuse are becoming more and more blurred.
7) Research by We Canβt Consent to This @Wecantconsentto documented 52 homicides in the United Kingdom where men who have killed women during rough sex claimed that the deceased consented to βa sex game gone wrong.β In several cases, the men walked free. wecantconsenttothis.uk
8) Strangulation is a common in β of the deaths recorded by @Wecantconsentto & is linked to the rising popularity of sex acts inspired by violent porn. On average, one woman is strangled to death by her partner every 2 weeks in the U.K. @FemicideCensusfemicidecensus.org

I'm a radfem and lesbian. I have never believed AGPs deserve to die. I don't even hate them. How would that help me, women or lesbians? I'm 100% focused on women. And just cause I'm 100% focused on women I'm hated by many men, who enjoy sending me rape/death threats. #ProReality
Just so u know how this evolved. It wasn't him writing that. It was alcohol!π± In the case he was drunk (Im not sure it's true) I could say "Don't drink when u drive on Twitter" but I won't. I'll say "Just do it so we all can see who u really are. Thanksπ"
And when a woman is talking about the loss of trust and integrity, when radfems are accused by a gay "GC" man of wanting AGPs to die, another GC man, who defends his fellow "GC" man reacts like this
π
There was some tratest outside the London headquarters of The Guardian. That is not importantπ₯± But I like that character on the left. Do I see a can of beer in the hand?π€ I think I will draw that character and use it in my new graphic novelπ
And imagine, you are in London and you want to know if it's cold outside. So you look out from your window and see these two people. One in a furry coat and the other in a tank top. What would you think?π€
And this one has written "WALK IN HER SHOES" on the t-shirt. I think we can take this LITERALLYπ€ Men can walk in her shoes, wear her bras and dresses (poor girfriend or wife) but that's all. No matter what they steal or misappropriate
from women will make them women.
Girl: "Porn thought me that it was ok for others to use my body without my permission"
Boy: "Porn told me that sex was the only thing girls were good for"
These are real stories &Β there are many more. Average age of exposure to porn is only 11 years old.
2) According to a cyber security company 22 % of all minors who consume pornography are under 10 years old. 36 % are between 10-14. Popular forms of porn are increasingly violent and abusive and the effects of exposure on our children are devastating. #ProtectChildrenNotPorn
3) Pornograpy shapes what children believe about sex, what is acceptable and desirable. It normalizes sexual violence and increases the likelihood of violent sexual behaviour.
RAISED ON PORN film shatters cultural myths about the βharmlessβ nature of pornography & provides a sobering framework to understand how this graphic genre of media has shaped our world, eliciting a desperately-needed call for change.
