YES. Pneumatic elevator! If your megamansion doesn't have one what are you even doing? I saw this and smiled ear to ear. And really, isn't that what we all need more of right now? #SaturdayNightZIllow
Romance. If I'm spending $14.5M, I want a tower 800 feet in the sky overlooking the ocean. #SaturdayNightZIllow
Oh, hello. They call this "New Construction" building a castle but the only really castle-y thing is this. I'll allow it. #SaturdayNightZillow
You can see here the two windmills, which with the solar panels provide 95% of the power for the property, per the listing. Like a lot of mansions in Puerto Rico I've seen today, people want to be capable of going off-grid for water and power. #SaturdayNightZIllow
Stats: *45 acres*
~10K sf
*Helicopter pad
*8K sf courtyard
*30,000 gallon cistern
*Guest house #SaturdayNightZillow
Weird thing is the address is 1 Palatine Hills. And that kind of creeps me out because I keep seeing it as PALPATINE. #SaturdayNightZillow
Puerto Rico also has a LOT of affordable housing. Like this 5BR, 3BA place for, checks notes $115K! Even sports a bidet... Maybe we can buy it, split it 52 ways and each get a week here for life. #SaturdayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/G-…
I would read a 1,000-word Style-section story on this chair. #SaturdayNightZillow
A better investment might be this $975K, 6-apartment building with 12K sf walking distance to the beach with A+ view from the roof. We should buy it and convert to an AirBnB cash machine. #SaturdayNightZillowzillow.com/homedetails/92…
Would love to know the story behind this stuff. And that looks like a BFG staring out the window. #SaturdayNightZillow
Puerto Rico's most expensive property listing, by far, is a ~$35M compound festooned with solar panels — as you might expect. The outside looks a little industrial to my tastes but the inside does have its charms... #SaturdayNightZIllowzillow.com/homedetails/17…
Laundry room is fine if a bit on the boring side. No pies or anything like last night lol. #SaturdayNightZillow
Finally, at long last, someone perfects TV placement. Though, in a $35M house, shouldn't the TV be bigger? #SaturdayNightZillow
I'm a little confused by this. What the hell is it? A bathtub inside a bathtub? WEIRD. #SaturdayNightZillow
Of course there is a party shower. Because otherwise you'd have spent 35 MILLION DOLLARS and somebody would be, like, you didn't even get a party shower? #SaturdayNightZillow
Overall this mansion leaves me ice cold. You are in Puerto Rico, you should have COLOR. Exuberance! Life! Romance! And not just a laundry list of expensive imported luxury names you plastered all over the place. #SaturdayNightZillow
Two years ago, Congress considered banning 18-20 year-olds from buying AR-15s and other semi-automatic rifles after the Uvalde massacre, and some Republicans were briefly open to doing so but ultimately blocked including a ban in the bipartisan gun bill signed by Biden.
Then-Florida Governor Rick Scott signed a law raising the age to buy guns in his state to 21 after the Parkland massacre, but then opposed doing the same for the nation as a US Senator. He told reporters it was easier to do it at the state level.
McConnell actually enacted a law one day to raise the age to buy cigarettes to 21. But he didn't want to talk two years ago about a proposal to raise the age for buying rifles.
Soaring cost estimates for extending Trump tax cuts set up a crucial 2025 fight:
*CBO puts tab at $4.6 Trillion over next decade
*Fight comes with US debt far higher than 2017, interest costs ballooning & Social Security cliff looming...
w/@chrisjcondon bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
*Trump wants more tax cuts, along with massive new tariffs — aka a tax on imports — that would raise consumer prices but offset at least some of the cost.
*Biden wants to extend breaks <$400K a year paired with higher taxes on corporations and the wealthy.
If past is prologue, Congress will again play Santa Claus. With a few exceptions, Congress has repeatedly increased spending and cut taxes since 2001.

"What happens in jail stays in jail" lol. Jail-bar pillows are a nice touch. #FridayNightZillow
One of the scarier things I've seen on Zillow. Let's hope this is a prop and not an actual electric chair. #FridayNightZillow
Ozempic can be produced for less than $5 a month, a new study found, but Danish company Novo Nordisk charges Americans $968.52. bloomberg.com/news/articles/…
Bernie Sanders insisting the company charge Americans no more than it charges Canadians for the same drug.

McConnell helped nix:
Roe
Campaign finance reform
Individual mandate
Medicare dental & vision
Dream Act
$35 insulin cap
Minimum wage hike
Flag burning amendment
Making Election Day a holiday
Public option
SCOTUS filibuster
Pro Act 1/6 Commission
Oil export ban
Cap&trade
Tax hikes
Vast majority of laws since 2007 have had either the acquiescence of McConnell or his outright support, with notable exceptions, like the Affordable Care Act, the Inflation Reduction Act, Obama stimulus, Biden Covid relief, Dodd-Frank, Lilly Ledbetter, USA Freedom Act, Paygo.
One way to look at McConnell is that he has often had the role of editor of Congress. Empowered by the filibuster and his conference, he had a key veto point in Washington; spending, taxing and legislating had to pass through his filter.
