*DC goes Full Meta....
This might end up on the best single issue of the year, a fun issue that asks the reader to blow on the page to turn out the light, FIND 3 magical symbols hidden in the pages to cast a spell and turn the book around....I love it.
also Wally West knows we exist
So far this is the best and most classic run at DC right now.
this also MIGHT be the best modern use of Fate in anything. While he has such a cool design he is often not really given a unique angle on magic compared to others.

Honestly some have, like the creator of Hazbin Hotel and Helluva Boss was able to make their own indie animations and their own studio by themselves....but because of money, and.....only really now that more creators are known are we getting something.
Look the reason Frank Miller is important is not because HE made Batman dark, or comics darker, what Frank did was show artists who want to work in comics that THEY COULD do it by themselves, THEY HAVE WORTH, and so could go off and do it on their own.
and that's important FOR many creators to get that confidence, many of the image founding fathers were fans of his, and so that caused them to think about what he was saying, and Cartoons didn't get that till later sad to say.

HANUKAH is early this year....like it's today so Happy holidays my fellow Jews and to celebrate this year in grand old Fashion we have 8 Crazy nights with the the thing, where I will be spotlighting stories from the thing and his many team ups. Tonight WE START OFF VERY JEWISH.
the Golem is a very MINOR Marvel hero based on the famous Jewish myth the Golem of Prague and it's many variations over the decades. A small attempt was made to make him a Marvel hero but alas he was never that popular.
The character first showed up in the Hulk but it was VERY minor appearance and the Hulk, took his place as the protector being given a lot of comparisons. The Golem is only used in flashbacks but he would show up in the modern day for a brief run.

nah I just like making fun of him because of critics talk about him,I own Sandman the absolute edition(75 dollar books and I own the whole set), and have most every major comic by the dude and the reason I do make fun of him is not out of any malice for his works.
reasons
*guys is ONE of the most recommended comic creators of all time you don't need me to tell you to read his work
*his work is often used to shame comics despite his work often falling into traps many great creators fall into like making Hawkman lore way too complicated.
*Neil also made an ass of himself during the whole internet archive drama but he has done some nice work since then

Ultimately the reason I make fun of him is not out of hatred but more of a complicated feeling of how his work is used to bag on comics and what they are.

This is one story I always thought was kind of bupkis. Now Personally I think Mark Millar WOULD totally pitch this...but I don't think he did and if it was it might have been a dark joke A VERY dark joke at best. Well Let's explore why I question it. Image

the editor of wonder woman at the time NEVER TALKED ABOUT THIS PITCH EVER, nor did other creators. Image
and eventually Wonder Woman DID get a death of Superman/knightfall story, the contest which came out in 94 and given some lead times in comics I doubt Wonder Woman's rape was on the table if her regular writer was still around which he was. Image

Okay so the NIECE bit is the retcon and it's often a forgotten retcon that you have to dive deep to even really know about it because not that many stories mention it and now a days it's just gone but here's why it happened.
When Bab's first showed up it was just as Commissioner Gordon's daughter, no if's and or buts, and nothing was really made of it, Babs at the time was MORE Bruce's contemporary then Dick's despite the name and that it for a number of decades. Image
Then Crisis on Infinite earths happened. This reshuffling of continuity would change Barbara but NOT right away that change came because of one story..... Image

Welcome to the second Part of the Kamen Rider thread the secret stuff I had planed.....ALL THE WEIRD extra related crap that would distract from talking about the main stuff the first thread is 101, this is more 201. So lets get to the next semester.
Now let's talk about MOVIES. I decided to skip a couple riders for various reasons because the tv shows are the main meat of the franchise and the face, this is more extra, short, and supplemental, also....I'm going to be talking about certain....things.
First up after RX ended Kamen Rider went on an extended hiatus during the 90's, and so no new tv was made....but there were 3 movies made, one feature length the other two half that length,these are often lumped together.
