Watched the inaugural show of #KashmirFiles movie. Conversations around it will shape the idea of India@75 more than anything else. In its multi-layers, it is the Genocide Katha SaritSagar. One is left overwhelmed with the reality that all evil starts with great conviction.
Courageous @vivekagnihotri takes no prisoners in his script. Suppressed truth goes on a rampage. @AnupamPKher is gripping in his dementia. Pallavi Agnihotri, the groomer of young minds is more dangerous than Medusa. Mithunda is the Bhishma pitamah in a Kashmir turned Kurukshetra.
@bhashasumbli has given an emotion charged performance that Bharata Muni would salute her for. When she is raped and sawed it is the very vivisection of Kashmir. The KP is revealed correctly as a force for good & the murder of Kashmir's civilization as a crime against humanity.
This movie will result in war breaking out with #Haider movie lovers who enjoyed the Turcoman war dance at the holy site of Martand temple. Proving that the palest ink not only defeats the bloodiest sword but that the House of Lies ultimately will fall to @vivekagnihotri truth.
The photography of the Dal lake scene is pure Swedish in its minimalism. That scene will never be recaptured again. The impotence of the Indian state will birth endless debate as also the complicity of the Indian media in the rarest of rare crimes.
There are parts of the movie where you will not be able to breathe. It will leave you overwhelmed with emotion. I pray for all those that we lost. I salute @vivekagnihotri for giving them justice. I am fired with pride at my Pandit community which has remained a force for good.

This is a review of @AudreyTruschke : What the myth of ‘love jihad’ tells us about the Hindu Right scroll.in/article/100600… via @scroll_in
The main body is about Jonaraja the Kashmirian historian's telling about converted Malik Saifuddin and "Brahminical privilege."
Saifuddin was previously known as Suha Bhatta & then as Suha the Turk. He was chief advisor to the King Sikandar Shah in late 14th century. Audrey does not give the king's complete name Butsikan (Iconoclast). Similar to historians who name Babur but do not put in Ghazi. Why hide?
Audrey begins by stating that "many Kashmiris adopted Islam, although we still know little about the mechanisms and timing of these conversions." But in the story by the historian Jonaraja, he provides very specific examples. One such story is below.

The Avesta which predates Christ mentions India in four places.
1)The first mention is in the Venidad Chapter 1 verse 19. It mentions that out of the sixteen countries the fifteenth one is the Hapta Hindu country.
It extends east and west of the Indus river (with seven not five branches, the Sapta Sindu of the Vedas, Sindhu, Jhelum, Chenab, Ravi, Beas, Kabul) which waters it. It has two disadvantages, namely that there is scorching heat and the girls attain puberty at a young age.
