Stewart Robertson: we are close to financial stability. We don’t need to sell a player despite what you read in the press. We are close to financial stability.

The 7.5m mentioned in the accounts as needed for rest of season has already been met by investors. #rangersagm

James Bisgrove speaks positively of incremental growth through covid but while commercial monies have been around 13m the last couple of years the 21/22 target is 27.5m. #rangersagm

SR: stadium has been improved but there are areas of ground that we know need improved. Disabled access is a priority. #rangersagm

JB: retail deal was listed as 4.6m in accounts but will be more than that with bonuses etc. It hasn’t been perfect but we’ve made progress. Good relationship with Castore but we will go to market as well. We now have a demonstrable sales track record. #rangersagm

SR: New Edmiston House will provide an excellent revenue stream. It will also improve our fan engagement on matchday. We need to provide something for families to do on matchday. Also very excited about museum. #rangersagm

RW: we are relaxed on player contracts. 3 groups:
Older players - we review in summer.
Non-contributing players - will be let go.
Contributing players - we have a model on salary that we won’t break. #rangersagm

Now onto questions:
First Q about covid passports and what board are doing about it.

A. We don’t set the rules. We have to comply with SG rules. We have had discussions with SG but ultimately if we want to open stadium we need to comply. #rangersagm

Next Q on behalf of Club 1872: can the board provide details of loans mentioned in accounts - are they interest-free?

John Bennet - some of it is secured against EH. £13m has gone in as loans and EH isn’t worse that. They 6% interest is the lowest the club has paid.

It was 9.5 to Close brothers and 8 to Dave King. 6 is now the benchmark. We get offered a lot of credit but sometimes it’s as high as 13. If a new lender can beat 6, we’ll talk. #rangersagm

Q. Ticket office communications- nobody answers phones or emails.

SR - Malmo was an unacceptable shambles. From then it’s been priority as our customer service has not been good enough. Now appointed CS Manager and team, as well as new tech. We also need to improve tix on web.

Next Q about disabled section and poor views/exposure to elements.

SR: you are correct. I apologise for conditions. We have to improve it.

Q. What were results of safe standing review?

SR - it wasn’t completed because of covid. It’s not a priority. It would improve atmosphere but we need to take other views into account. It got a mixed reaction. #rangersagm

Q. Why do club ban supporters for incidents not at Ibrox?

DP - we have to protect the reputation of Rangers.

Q. Is there any update on naming a part of stadium/honouring Walter?

DP - there are several options. We are discussing them at moment but things will be done. #rangersagm

Q. What is club doing about MSPs who regularly try to damage the club brand and supporters?

A. We are holding media to account but I have no doubt everything you say is correct. It’s an ongoing process to win this battle. We have to be more scalpel than chainsaw. #rangersagm
