I created a Mid-Cap NFT Index and built a tool where you can compare any NFT to the index or group member to help see which NFT may take off ๐Ÿš€๐ŸŒ–, this is what I've found so far! (1/20) ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿงต
I love @nansen_ai 's blue chip index, but Ape's/Punks/AB are usually a bit out of my price range. The blue chip is the Dow Jones-- I wanted the S&P 400, 'mid-cap' NFT's that aren't crazy, but still more valuable than most (2/20)
After some discussion with fellow NFT'ers (again thank you @Zeneca_33 , @3stacksnft and several others in Zeneca's 333 group (apologies don't have your handles) I decided on this criteria: (3/20)
1. Floor must be between 1-5e for the past two weeks (can't be above/below that range for max 2 consecutive days.
2. Minimum weekly Vol of 150e to reflect how folks active in the market are viewing these NFTโ€™s
3. Be a 'standard' NFT-- no art or land
4. Mint < .2E
(4/20)
The hope is this criteria accurately reflects how the bulk of NFT projects both behave in this range and make comparing others to it as valuable as possible. So, without further ado-- the Inaugural Trey-20 Index NFT's ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿฅ (5/20)
Here is the initial list-- I'll be keeping an eye on these and adding/removing as users hit the criteria. Link to sheet is here tinyurl.com/y5at2fhp (6/20)
Next I built a weighted index modeled off the S&P 500 (so weighted by market cap = floor *collection size) using @DuneAnalytics that shows the index over time, breakdowns by percentile, historical prices since mint etc. Link here: dune.xyz/Jktss/Trey-20-โ€ฆ Initial Thoughts ๐Ÿ‘‡(7/20)
NFT market still growing and holding. This is the Trey-20 since August-- definitely a retrenchment since the Oct peak-- but looks like we stabilized ~30% higher than where we were in August (8/20)
The 80/20 rule holds true with the index! This is percentile of the index by days since mint. Even in this small group, the top 20% moon while the 80% stay stable. Finding that top 20% key to largest gains-- more on that below ๐Ÿ˜‰ (9/20)
An early pop is great, but a slow riser can still succeed. ~50% of the index doesn't immediately explode post mint, yet still got to 1-5e! Community building and growing organically can certainly work! (10/20)
So the index is cool, but what I really want to do is identify what NFT's can hit these heights and when I should worry...(11/20)
I built a second dashboard in @DuneAnalytics to compare any NFT to the index or a specific member in the index. Based query off of @RantumBits 's work. Link is here: dune.xyz/Jktss/Compare-โ€ฆ . Let's check some NFT's out! (12/20)
So people are really excited about @wilxlee 's project the @thelittlesnft . Let's see how it's performing compared to index members from launch-- well above the 20th percentile! Wish I had one! (13/20)
One I do own and feel pretty good about is @FungibleFungi . While performing right around the 20th percentile, I wanted to see how it's price compares to others in the group-- here is is vs. @LazyLionsNFT . Tracking p. close! (14/20)
What about a member in the Trey-20... I'm a proud owner of a @doodles and hope it grows to that top 20% that rockets. It's currently tracking right at the 60th percentiles-- so still great, but exit velocity less certain. (15/20)
Anyhow, that's how I've been using the tool so far, hope you find it useful/interesting and play around with it! Lmk if you see any issues/wanted anything added. (16/20)
Again HUGE thanks to @alisinclair85 , @Zeneca_33 @3stacksnft @RantumBits and the whole Zen Academy 333 group for work/feedback. Hope the index name reaches the glory of the group! (17/20)
I posted more depth on my substack-- feel free to subscribe for this type of weekly project in your email. nftdata.substack.com/p/an-nft-mid-cโ€ฆ (18/21)
Next week I'm digging into Halloween NFT's to see if we can learn anything about what's sure to be a ton of Xmas NFT's that are about to drop. (20/20)
(21/20) just found out the twitter handle of someone else who helped me with the name! Thanks @AlexDGraham
(22/20) Ppl pointed out that Pengus are 8888, not 10k (as an owner Iโ€™m quite embarrassed ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ!) appreciate the catch! Updated dune and google sheet and will amend elsewhere! Penguin ๐Ÿง โ„๏ธ

Alright! Who wants to take a look at how NFT's fared in the recent Bear market and which did the best? (Thread ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘‡) (1/19)
First, I wanted to find a list that had enough NFT's to be able to do a decent analysis and make sure they were of high enough quality to be as meaningful -- so I worked off @Zeneca_33 's list. (Also HUGE thanks to @alisinclair85 for helping get the tx num's for each) (2/19)
I then put this list into @DuneAnalytics and started digging in (Link to sheet is here: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/dโ€ฆ ) Also, based NFT queries off @Smaroo -- check his dune out, he's awesome! (3/19)
