I sold my ape. It's been a couple of days now and the shock has worn down a little bit.
Here's a short thread for why:
The BAYC has undoubtedly changed my life for the better. I got into the club for 3 eth, and sold for just over 46 (at nearly double eth price). It is and likely will remain my luckiest investment ever. At this point, it was time. The energy the apes possess is second to none...
But for me, personally, I never really "fit in" with the apes. And that's totally okay! I'm techie, I don't really care that much for a status symbol like the ape. I held it when it was underground and cool, and I've got my merch to show my support for the apes that remain.
I never got to feel kinship with the ape tribe like I do with some of the other projects in the space. And I think it's because I wasn't "OG". No project will ever be the same as the BAYC, and their founding team will almost certainly continue to do amazing things for holders.
For me, and for my family though, it was the right time to move into a new house, and my beautiful boy let me do just that.
Missed but not forgotten. I think he'd be proud 😘
And the outpouring of support is why everyone who HAS the means should be a part of this 😘
