The Supreme Court of Mexico @SCJN has turned into reality what many of us anticipated, and others said was an unthinkable exaggeration. Age determination is declared a fundamental right, inaugurating "age identity" and "transetarian" status 🧵 1 
This was obvious to anyone who wanted to see it. The Court now explicitly states it. The "logic" behind "gender identity" is the same as with age. To control one's own biography, it is the will of the subject that determines reality.(2)
Court states that civil registry must provide legal certainty; but certainty about the reality that the subject claims to be truth. Allows both lowering and raising the age, as long as there is no "indication of bad faith". (3)
But we know that gender identity cannot be questioned, so age will soon follow. Expect the criteria to be restrictive, to point of no effect.
