SEFF reps were present at a Service held yesterday in Minterburn Presbyterian Church, Caledon giving thanks for the life of Denis Wilson, who was murdered 50 yrs ago tomorrow by PIRA terrorists. He was an off duty UDR soldier, much loved by his family & from across the local ... ImageImage

Denis' funeral had been held in that same Church 50 yrs ago, facilitated by Rev Cathcart who returned yesterday to speak of his parishioner & friend.

The Wilson family are very widely respected; they possess a strong Christian faith & it has aided them to carry on.. ImageImage

SEFF remembers Jean McConville, 37, RC widow with 14 children, murdered by PIRA, 49 yrs ago, 7/12/72, after being abducted from her home in the Divis area of W Belfast.

Jean's body wasn't found until 2003 after decades of being missing. She had become the best known of a group.. Image

SEFF remembers George GIlliland, RUC, married to Iris (who survives him) with 3 children. Joanne, 11, Craig, 8 & Gillian 4, murdered 36 yrs ago, 7/12/85 by PIRA.

SEFF remembers Edgar Graham, 29, UUP politician & senior Law Lecturer at QUB, murdered 38 yrs ago, mid morning 7/12/83 by a PIRA gunman, whilst he was chatting to UUP & Queen's colleague Dermot Nesbitt at the University Sq side of the main campus library.
