➡️ 90% figure challenged & not available from published sources
If we are seeing thee longest decline in patients in hospital since last winter then how is pressure mounting on the NHS from Covid?

The 90% figure relating to the most specialist care comes from a Sunday Times front page on Sunday.

My thread challenges this and the article says NHS England have said it but this is not sourced with data. It also related to 150 patients from July-Nov - no context on the type
Would love to see the data if it exists so the public are informed.

We have already seen the 90% figures misused relating to overall patients in hospital by Dr Hilary Jones, Lorraine Kelly and Martin Kemp.

He refers to most intensive care which I believe comes from Sunday Times article and not linked to any source

Can you tell us where this data is Jeremy as its been criticised by me and others
Having called out Dr Hilary Jones, Lorraine Kelly, Martin Kemp and Susanna Reid, its now the turn of Jeremy Vine to quote this 90% number.

As @theJeremyVine says on his profile he has the most listened-to radio news show in Britain.

Can you substantiate the claim made on air?
As my blog talks about (albeit not stats for the most intensive care as they are not published) there are three times as many patients in critical care for non Covid than Covid.

Giving out false stats on air should not be tolerated. Lorainne Kelly has not even put out the correct ones.

Official data says around 36% of patients with Covid admitted are unvaccinated in England and 13% in Wales.

🚨🚨 Boris Press Conference at 6pm with more restrictions planned for England.

➡️ If you look at the data we are not in the same place as last December.

➡️ Cases on the white line tracked vs deaths. Deaths significantly lower than past. Cases in hospital 55% less too Image
Deaths peak around 14 days after cases. They are plotted on different axes to show how the relationship between cases and deaths has been broken.

This in part due to vaccine and fewer restrictions mean more cases in younger people.

Hi @NadineDorries apart from sharing an article that has been criticised can you source the 90% of cases in ICU are unvaccinated?

As a Government minister you must have access to data to be able to verify this?

The official data published tells a different story (see below)
Here is my thread on the Sunday Times article
While @NadineDorries is referring to ICU the same 90% number is being widely used by celebs on mainstream TV as been called out in recent days when referring to patients in hospital.
