1/ Back in February, I wanted to launch an NFT project.

Unfortunately, I shared my idea with the wrong people.

That mistake probably cost me 💰💰💰

Live and learn! Here’s what happened 👇
2/ I’ve always loved illustration & design.

– Made art for indie games
– Created cartoons
– Trained hundreds of designers

So, when I encountered crypto punks and BAYC I instantly got it and wanted to launch my own project.
3/
Unfortunately, I shared my idea with folks who thought all NFTs were stupid, a plague on humanity, or both.
4/ All of these people had similar careers and interests as me.

And it's not like we were strangers. We'd known each other for a while, and I respect and value their opinions.

After a few messages via Twitter or Instagram, long relationships just ended. It bummed me out hard.
5/ "No NFTs!" a battle cry hurled at me over and over after sharing my first test NFT mint.

I got nervous and abandoned my bigger idea.

But I kept on learning as much as I could about web3.
6/ Over the next few months I watched great designers like @pablostanley and @JustinMezzell launch cool projects that I admired from afar.

I still wanted to launch my own project, but I was nervous about what the design community would think...
7/ "Who gives a crap?" @nick_dewilde asked.

"Are you really going to let a bunch of other people's opinions stop you from doing what you love?"

He was right.
8/ I talked to other builders like @ZacHalbert who had a cold start with web3 due to fear of backlash or lack of resources.

They wanted to launch things, but didn't have a community to help them make the leap.

That’s when @nick_dewilde, @ZacHalbert, @thedrex and I realized...
9/ We wanted to build a learning community to give web3-curious builders the guidance and support to launch new projects.

We're calling it: Invisible College.
10/ And here’s the cool part.

With most online courses the tuition you pay is an expense that you never get back.

With Invisible College, the cost of admission is minting an NFT.

When you're ready to move on, you can just sell it to a new student.
11/ Over time, as we launch more learning content, the NFT will unlock more and more value, so that when you’re ready to move on, you can recoup some cost.
12/ Missing out on launching that early project probably cost me 💰💰💰

All because I didn’t have the right support to launch.

We want to make sure no other builders miss out on their calling.

To join us, head over to @Decentraliens and sign up for our Discord.
13/ Here are some of the benefits of joining our learning DAO

– Full Courses
– Community
– Office Hours
– Events

If you're curious, we'd love to have you join our group.
