Part 2: In which Holly biles out a bunch of disproven anti-vax lies, says children shouldn’t be quarantined or vaccinated because COVID “is not a disease of children.” Her comments about vaccinated people being in the hospital have not aged well since September.
So why is Holly freaking out? Is Livingston County taking money for forced vaccination of children? Nope. This a meeting for the County Commish to accept or deny $1.5 million in grant funds from the #MDHHS for staffing and basic COVID-related services.
They voted the money down thanks in part to toxic HCWs whose testimony helped fuel the 🔥 of misinformation. Now, our community is in flames from the pandemic.
Community spread hovers above 20%, our local hospital is at 100% capacity. Of the 42 total beds available, 32 are COVID patients. All 8 ICU beds full with unvaccinated COVID patients. whmi.com/news/article/s…
People like Holly Austin helped create his hellscape because she’s a nurse and therefore people trust her, even when she spreads misinformation that threatens their lives.
My earlier tweet about Austin went viral, and @schoolcraftnow — where Austin works as a NURSE EDUCATOR released this statement in response. Twitter please help, as this response is clearly inadequate and calls into question the credibility of the entire Schoolcraft RN program. 
Schoolcraft says Austin’s views do not reflect their views on COVID, but retaining her as a member of their faculty is a tacit endorsement in its own way. Would a fire department hire an arsonist, even if he put out fires from time to time? Of course not! What’s different here?
My original thread: Important to note Holly is neither a taxpayer for Brighton Schools nor do her kids attend school there. Which begs the question: Why is she even speaking??

Sidenote: Our county officials waving the white flag of surrender to COVID led one of our lead epidemiologists to quit in frustration last month as cases were rising exponentially. whmi.com/news/article/l…
