4: Also OTD a "Cease Fire" proposal sent to the UN by A H Malik, the puppet West Pakistani Governor of East Pakistan, was stridently disowned by Gen Yahya Khan of Pakistan. The inevitability of Bangladeshi independence was clear in Dacca, though not yet in Islamabad.
