This low life had the audacity to doubt the greatness of this high position attained by our mother Aisha (ra).
He tried to prove that a woman is no longer worthy of this title after she has apostates from the religion of Islam by using Qutayla Bint Qayss as an example…
…little did he know was that this would backfire on him as it was mentioned in an authentic narration that the Prophet ﷺ divorced her before he even consumed the marriage.
This can be found in Talkhiss al-Habir by Ibn Hajar al-‘Asqalani, vol. 3, p. 292:
And according to Muhammad Baqir al-Majlissi (shia rabbi) the Prophet ﷺ divorced Qutayla Bint Qayss and also divorced ‘Aliya Bint Dhabyan.
And in Sunan Abu Dawud, the Prophet ﷺ divorced Hafsa (r.a.) and married her back again. Sh. al-Albani said that the hadith is “Sahih”.
So now we ask, if the Prophet ﷺ was able to divorce:
By going out to battle, did Aisha (ra) disobey the statement of the Most High: “And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves like that of the times of ignorance” - (Surat al-Ahzaab, v. 33)?
The answer is “no” and the reasons for that are…
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O women! You have been allowed by Allah to go out for your needs.” - (Sahih al-Bukhari, vol. 7, p. 38, h. 5237).
