Sources : TN BJP, is jittery as its grand plans to create a situation of destabilisation against DMK government has fallen flat. With egg on its face, the BJP leadership is trying hard to create the arrest of rabid YouTuber Maridass’s arrest a huge issue. 1/6
But so far the issue has failed to gain traction except among BJP circles.

The jitteriness is so palpable that TN BJP President Annamalai lost his cool during a presser and abused the TN HoPF and TN Police calling the force ‘the worst among the country’. 2/6
TN Police too, for its part has acted smartly and arrested Maridass in Prison in an old case in Chennai City Police. This nullifies the BJP’s efforts to ensure Maridss walks out of prison on Monday through High Court. Instead of seeking bail, RSN Law Firm, 3/6
a firm belonging to TN Additional Solicitor General Sankaranarayanan chose to file a quash petition seeking quash of the FIR.

So even if that FIR is quashed, Maridass will continue to be in prison as he is arrested in another case. 4/6
Further, highly placed sources say, Maridass is likely to be arrested in another FIR pending against him in Melapalayam PS.

To up the anté TN President Annamalai is likely to meet the Governor of TN today and launch a complaint against the Stalin government. 5/6
Following the complaint, the TN Governor is likely to issue a statement that Raj Bhavan has called for a report on this incident from Govt., so that the TN BJP & Gurumurthy can wipe some of the egg off their face. 6/6

Sources : Emboldened by the active support of family, TN Power Minister @V_Senthilbalaji picks up fight in the wrong place.

Kamuthi Solar Power Project is a photovoltaic power station spread over an area of 2,500 acres (10 km2) in Kamuthi, Ramanathapuram district. 1/4
This is a project of Adani Power. The total capacity of this plant is 648 MW per day. The earlier power minister Thangamani was getting 50 paise per unit, per day as bribe from Adani.

The new Power Minister, V. Senthil Balaji, a notorious party hopper, is now demanding 2/4
Rs.1.50 per unit, per day as the revised rate of bribe. The Adani being the numero uno corporate wing of @RSSorg, promptly refused and threatened to haul up the government, as any punitive action would be violative of the MoU signed with the previous government.

Sources : The Chennai City Police formally arrests YouTuber Maridass in Cr. No. 253 of 2020. This case pertains to publishing a fake email purported to be that of News18 Digital Editor.

Earlier, before this complaint, the News18 management filed a complaint for 1/5
creating hatred, communal disharmony, etc. against Maridass. This complaint was prepared in Mumbai after consulting legal team of News18 Group.

The then Addl CoP CCB, Ms. Thenmozhi, IPS, who continues till now, refused to register an FIR in the News 18 complaint saying 2/5
‘no case is made out’. Subsequently, News18 management filed a second complaint for forging their email and publishing it as genuine.

Even after receipt of this compliant, Thenmozhi refused to register an FIR, but after media pressure, she finally relented, 3/5

Madras HC Judge GR Swaminathan goes out of the way to protect the Kanchi Shankaracharya, who is charged with not standing during the playing of Tamil Anthem.

Justice GR Swaminathan is a known supporter of RSS and he was all praise for Golwalkar. 1/n
He says in his order “It has already been noted “Tamil Thai Vaazhthu” is a prayer song and not an Anthem. There is no statutory or executive order requiring the attendees to stand up when Tamil Thai Vaazhthu is sung. But highest reverence and respect ought to be 2/n

Sources : Mutiny brewing inside @aiadmk. Several senior leaders are in an apprehension that EPS & OPS have joined hands together and conducting elections only to cement their seats and have ditched all other senior leaders of ADMK. 1/5
This has led to panic among senior leaders and they have sent emissaries to VK Sasikala and have started talking to her and plotting a coup. Sasikala’s statement after the election announcement assumes significance.
