Before you go and make a decision to get an MBA, here is why you shouldn’t.
[Thread 🧵]👇
People trying top-20 B-Schools are not the target audience of this thread.
Your education will be world-class, you will be connected to successful alumni, and you will gain access to leading networks.
In addition, you'll have the best companies recruiting on-campus.
The MBA has become the most common “Master’s degree”
However, a comparable amount of students also find themselves with crippling debt, no applicable skills, and an overall education that lacks a specific focus.
Here is how I helped my friend get an 8 LPA job without an MBA👇
My friend after graduating with a B.com was now preparing to pass the CA exam.
She believed she was useless because she didn't have an MBA degree like her friends who got placed.
Every job seeker knows what it is like when everyone gets a job but you don't
I made a tailored resume for every job she applied for.
We applied to 200+ job openings, and sent more than 100+ cold emails to founders and hiring managers.
After two months, she got the attention of the Founder, who hired her as an intern with a salary of 1k.
I told her to focus on learning and networking during her internships, not on salary.
After doing a few internships in startups she was able to crack an 8 LPA package in a big MNC.
In comparison, her friends got 4-6 LPA jobs after spending 15+ lakhs on MBA.
Now she sends me screenshots of how candidates and her manager admire how smoothly she conducts interviews and gives feedback to them.
In my opinion, you don't need an MBA to work in sales, HR, or marketing.
Work hard, have proper guidance, and be humble
If you're still considering an MBA program, read this first.
Most people who want to get their MBA are very excited about having the opportunity to enhance their skills even more and secure lucrative jobs with promising companies.
Choosing the wrong MBA school can be costly.
Choosing the right school and making sure they get a degree that will help them achieve their goals is where many people make a mistake.
An MBA is a big-ticket item. Weigh your investment carefully. Do your research. Is it worth it for you?
You’re never going to arrive at your destination by taking the most obvious route.
The best stories rarely follow the most obvious path. That is why everyone wants to read them :)
