10 things I wish I knew when I was 20

=thread=
1. Be fearless

Few things are quite as paralyzing as being overwhelmed by fear doing.

You can't let fear and guilt paralyze you.

Gather your courage, and let your desire to achieve your goal overcome any fear you have of failing.
2. Stop trying to impress people

Please stop trying to prove yourself to others so that they’ll appreciate you.

As long as you know what you’re capable of doing, be it.

Don’t perform for popularity; perform for purpose.
3. There are many ways to make more money

There are lots of money-making opportunities out there.

If you are willing to put 1,2 hrs a day into something you are passionate about instead of watching Netflix or looking at Instagram, you’ll be surprised at what you can achieve.
This is what making more money can do for you:

- Pay your bills
- Retire sooner
- Pay off your debt
- Leave a job you hate
- Reaching financial freedom
- Stop living paycheck to paycheck

4. Say NO

Not always the best answer is YES!

Maybe your answer will generate some problems at first, but in the long run, an honest NO is better than a YES that is not your true intention.
5. Be different

People who change the world and accomplish incredible things are usually are very different from most people.

Your interests, good qualities, and personality are what make you, you.

Be proud of who you are, and don't care if people like it.
6. Nothing is forever

"If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans."

Nobody knows what tomorrow holds.

We can't take anything for granted; we don't know for sure what's going to happen tomorrow, so take it easy and check your priorities.
7. Your inner peace is important

It's so easy to get addicted to work but remember:

- Exercise
- Take a shower
- Have enough sleep
- Eat enough and healthy
- Give time to family, friends

Live your life to the fullest.
8. Be mindful of your relationships

Don't spend time with people who don't treat you well. Show up for your friends and family who do.

You will need a support system when you're older, and you need to choose the right people to be a part of this support system.
9. Read more

I wish when I was 20 someone made me read the following books:
