Since there is lots of buzz on Rajaraja chozhan let’s look at something he is famous for. During his period, odhuvars used to sing thevaram (They still do). But it was dwindling. The king wanted to explore more and he could not find any manuscripts. So he was in constant search
During same period, Nambiyandar Nambi from thirunarayur was blessed by piLLayar (Famously known as polla pillayar). The king came to know about this miracle and reached there and requested Nambi to help him. Nambi prayed to piLLayar
piLLayar then informed nambi to go & search in the western side of chidambaram temple. They all went and found the manuscripts. Rajaraja chozhan made golden statues for nalvar and then the door was opened. Concept of having 63 nayanmars in Sivan temple was initiated by Rajaraja

After visiting brahmapureeswarar temple we went to Thirukolakka where Lord Shiva blessed the 3 year old Thirugnanasambandhar with gold cymbals!
Though Lord Shiva gave him cymbals, the music came only after Ambal blessed him with music. Lord shiva is called as Thalapureeswarar and Ambal as Osainayagi.
Very calm place and there is hardly anyone around. If you go in evenings, you can listen to thevara pathigams sung by Tiruttani swaminathan. Just you and Lord Shiva. Quite an experience to visit during twilight!

I have been visiting paadal petra sthalangal for quite sometime. One temple was missing for a long time. Or any more. The place where it all started via thirugnanasambandhar. Brahmapureeswarar temple, Sirkazhi!
There are three tiers in this temple. Brahmapureeswarar as swayambu lingam in ground floor, Uma maheswarar at first floor and Sattanathar in Bhairavar form in second floor.
This is the temple where Ambal gave gnanapaal to Thirugnanasambandhar

I think they should make Chennai alone as union territory and split it from TN. It can be the intellectual capital of India , not just TN. Kamal can be CM and Surya education minister, Sidharth for PWD, TM Krishna for culture, Ranjith for social welfare, N Ram for literature
All industries will be dismantled. Just cinema, fine arts, journalism. Entire city can be made as film city. And rename areas. Adyar can be action, Egmore can be Editing. Everyone will make movies, watch movies, web series…
And literature. Asian college of journalism special articles on where to get the best samosa in Chennai, investigative journalism on how many holes should a coffee filter have etc…

Press club of India, as per their website, ‘is basically a meeting point for the journalists as it is located in the heart of Lutyans Delhi where Parliament House and other Ministries, which are the area of activity of the journalists, are located’. 😝
I also came to know from their homepage that they have a managing committee. Now what does the managing committee do? Appoint a special committee Image
Their website is very weird. You have an introduction Followed by a huge ad ‘Book Hall Now’. Huh what? So is it just a wedding/event hall that you can book? Why call it a club and why is so much buzz around it?

Parents and FIL for vaccinated today. Covidshield at Apollo MRC nagar. Next shot after 28 days. Took two hours overall. Registration/doctor checkup/vaccination/post vaccine observation. Great relief!
Costed 250₹ per person. Better to carry Aadhar card, PAN Card and medical history. A doctor will check before administering vaccine. Sharing the prescription of current medicines helps. 30 min observation post vaccination.
The govt will send a SMS after 4 or 5 days with link to download the certificate of first vaccination along with details of next date. So better to have a working mobile number. You can also visit the govt site and get the certificate
