might sound brutal but it's true

the further the world moves toward a telecommunication network in all things (accelerated aggressively by covid)

the truer this concept rings

the more "liquid" these networks become with time and technology, the lower switching costs get

the more frenetic this phenomenon becomes, the more unpredictable our future feels

the other side of this coin is the removal of friction in joining these growing networks (betting on apple, bitcoin, facebook et al)

but raising the capital to make those bets depends on your ability to build, join (or inherit) a network of your own

where you start is not fair

this is true

no one cares

this is also true

I am pretty weak at developing and maintaining personal relationships at scale

I am slightly better at writing and designing stuff and lobbing it onto the internet and seeing what happens

identifying what you're better than average at (or you can stick at for longer than anyone else) is the hardest thing to do but the best shot you have at network building
