BTS is once again Newsis’ Best Artist of the Year. According to 31 experts in the music industry who participated in the survey, BTS was #1 for the 4th year in a row since 2018 by a wide margin. They got 25 out of 39 possible 1st place votes. IU was 2nd with 3 votes. +
BTS had several significant achievements this yr incl:
- topping the Hot 100 chart with Butter for 10 non-consecutive weeks; PTD and My Universe also topping the chart
- becoming the first Asian artist to win AOTY at the AMAs
- winning at the PCAs
- sweeping the MAMA daesangs +
- winning daesangs at the MMAs and AAAs
- being nominated for the Best Duo/Group Pop Performance at the Grammys
- having 4 sold out shows at SoFi
