I was responsible for tracking all news related to US air wars and civilian harm from 2017 - 2021 and let me tell you @AzmatZahra's investigation is both unsurprising and infuriating to the point that I want to punch a wall. nytimes.com/interactive/20…
In 2018, @Sulliview wrote an incredible column about how the media was shrugging off US-caused civilian casualties in our post-9/11 wars.
Now the question is: Will we see the same indifference continue after @AzmatZahra's horrifying new investigation?
Also, let me just note, that while many outlets/journalists ignored rising civilian casualties, or brushed them off as inevitable, @AzmatZahra has been doggedly searching for answers for years and truly deserves every award out there.
