Dinagat PIO: In the municipality of Tubajon, one of our projects, satellite internet with Ateneo de Davao, it's still intact. They were able to connect only today

Dinagat PIO: We need more repairs for telecomm infrastructure. Globe and Smart have been contacted and they have committed to send engineers to fix their equipment

Dinagat PIO: Preemptive evacuation was made long before Signal No. 1. Most who are in the evacuation centers also suffered the brunt of the typhoon

Dinagat PIO says some of the evacuation centers were newly built but now their roofs have been blown away

Dinagat PIO says the local government has always been focused on climate change action and mitigation

Dinagat PIO: We didn't expect the typhoon to be that strong. Even the buildings collapsed

Dinagat PIO: It was reminiscent of Yolanda but it was much worse. In Yolanda we didn't have much property damage. We had zero casualties that time
