Here's what's happening at @Aleph__Zero right now. 👇
1) CEX listings. As you might be already aware, we cannot disclose ongoing listing discussions publicly—bear with us on this front. We're aware of the anticipation.
2) Staking economy and committee rotation. A lengthy discussion is coming to an end as aspects such as on-chain governance (voting for chain updates, grant recipients, general directions, etc.) as well as delegating stake have been debated by challenging various assumptions.
3) Validators. While the network is not yet ready to work with external validators, we're noticeably closer to achieving this than we were at the mainnet launch. Please remember that in the current setup the network is still centralized (AWS nodes).
4) Smart contracts. Tomorrow, the R&D team will spend most of the day making their final decisions with regards to smart contracts.
5) More details on SCs and validating the network will be disclosed a major update we're releasing during the first week of January.
6) Team growth. We're hiring new Rust and Substrate developers, primarily in Poland—but also in Switzerland and the US. We'll have more than 20 technical team members in January, making @Aleph__Zero one of the largest #Substrate projects. Not counting marketing or bizdev in here.
7) Year in review. Before the end of the year, we'll publish an article on $AZERO blog to highlight the progress that the team and the community managed to make over the last 12 months. It's definitely something we can categorize as rapid growth.
