Despite Washington's grandiose claims to universal sovereignty and legalistic framing, it's conception of the world shares an interesting parallel with traditional Islamic law in that it's also a tripartite division with separate rules governing each particular sphere. The first
world is functionally Dar al-Amriki, territory in complete and voluntary submission to Washington DC in all things, whether it be foreign, economic, or even social policy. The elites here are full willing servitors and participants and the full assembly of instruments of imperial
control ranging from media, the NGO activist ratchet, and the state security services are all under DC's thumb. It's subjects partake in the imperial pageantry and share the same ritualized behavior as the imperial core and even if they do not get the full benefits of citizenship
at least enjoy the imperial peace in that DC's behavior here is less wantonly destructive towards them and is limited by the actual text of their creed. The second world is functionally Dar al-Sulh, in that these are barbarian/pagan states still possessing independence but are in
strategic alignment with Washington DC on particular issues the government cares about so open aggression is not the modus operandi but active subversion efforts are instead the preferred method of operation. These states exist in a precarious state because the ultimate end goal
is to end their independence and thus the strategic alignment is only temporary though they themselves may have convinced them that just because the tiger will eat them last, that they won't even eat them at all. The laws of warfare here are more relaxed than in Dar al-Amriki
and these states are more subject to naked coercion than those in full submission. The final world is the Dar al-Harb in that these states are independent states with policies in opposition to the policies with the American Empire. It is here where open threat and coercion serves
as the predominant face of American policy whether it be sanctions or air strikes. These essentially are the subhumans under the US weltanschaung where it's laws not only do not apply but can instead even be openly perverted and used maliciously via lawfare and the routine civil
massacre by imperial forces can just be written off with a shrug and a yawn. This is the realm of open warfare where the imperial peace doesn't exist as long as there is resistance to Washington's pretensions of universal sovereignty.

American ideologists, both the liberal and conservative variety subscribe to magic dirt theory. It's quite a simple theory in that the very dirt of America, through the power of transubstantiation makes things possible that are otherwise impossible elsewhere. Whether it be the
conversion of third world immigrants into productive tax paying citizens through waving tiny American flags or repeating the state ideology. Or the creation of new productive technologies. Or even the abeyance of natural laws or social custom. America is the exception because
ipso facto, the very dirt of American is imbued with magical power. This may seem to many as an incredibly childish and delusional manner of thinking, but it is what actual Americans in their heart of hearts believe because prosperity has so far made things, if not real, at least

The periphery seizes the center or how policies of the exterior frontiers always have the habit of reverberating on the metropole. One of they key underlying principles in the study of the history of empire is just how disproportionately influential marcher lords or foreign
affairs bureaucrats are in setting the agenda far ahead of their actual domestic resources whether it be landed wealth or influence peddling. Part of this is just the overriding prioritization of security over all other considerations but more critically I think it is a simple
matter of prestige hierarchies and the willingness of humans to follow self proclaimed men of action even if it leads them off a cliff. What this means is that the tone and tenor of your external policy will always be mirrored in your domestic policy. Foreign rapaciousness can

Woke capital isn't woke because they believe in it, it's woke because that is the de facto government line. To call companies hypocrites because they compartmentalize their values is in and of itself hypocritical because everyone compartmentalizes what they value. The people who
cry endlessly about how some tennis player isn't on CNN denouncing Xi Jinping doesn't quite value the human rights of some poor Afghan turned into human hamburger meat to quite the same extent if at all. To expect more from some corporate compliance bean counter is to expect pigs
to fly first. The only interests companies actually have is self preservation first and making money second. Their only values are the predominant government line in the jurisdiction they are operating in which in the US just happens to be the melange of social libertinism and

One of my pet sexist™ theories of what is driving dysfunction in DC has to do with people underestimating interpersonal dynamics and overestimating the rationality of all actors involved. The increasing presence of powerful pant suited power princesses in Washington DC and the
accompanying shift in rhetoric towards emotional stridency and manipulation in public messaging rather than how this is good for you is because of the new group dynamics caused by the presence of so many more women and their half-men eunuch counter parts. There is mean girl
dynamic now at play meaning that the policy that is emerging from DC isn't anything more than the result of the most socially dexterous women in ugly necklaces queen beeing their way through groups driving policy that is basically high school excommunications accompanied by

Hindus we're fundamentally a semi-literate civilization up until the very recent past. What I mean by semi literate is that although they had a writing system, the number of actual literate population was miniscule, like 1% or less. Historiography is unmistakably biased towards
those who ultimately left the most surviving textual records. It is why we treat the Greek records of the Trojan war as factual, because there is no surviving Trojan version. This doesn't just apply to far antiquity but to fundamental notions of authenticity today. Whoever can
generate the bigger mountain of scribbles, the written variant of having the loudest bullhorn will generally be regarded as de facto correct. The pitiful thing about Hindu civilization is the absolute dearth of historical first hand textual records so that much of the scholastic

A shrinking world and it's discontents. One of, if not the most critical factor, in the problem of elite overproduction is the rise of a national and global monocultures at the expense of the local. As the world becomes more interconnected it becomes more zero sum for everyone by
virtue of turning big fish in small ponds into small fish in a vast ocean. In the old world, prestige could be very easily met because it was relative to very localized circles. With national and global culture, the ratio of opinion shapers and taste makers to the hoi polloi is
vastly out of tune. There is a reason the Chinese are obsessed with numbered canon, because it's easy to remember and because people can only remember so much. Being the most acclaimed writer in Finland is a statistically much easier than being the most acclaimed writer in Europe
