It’s the most wonderful time of the year: That's right we're telling you why the 4x Oscar Nominated Die Hard is indeed a Xmas movie. A thread.
Plot: NYC Policeman John McClane is visiting his estranged wife and children. At the Nakatomi Corporation’s holiday party (yes, on Xmas Eve, we digress) he’s met with a serious situation. Plot set up to be concluded with what could only be described as a Xmas miracle? Check.
When McClane arrives in Los Angeles, he requests Christmas music from his driver Argyle. We hear Run-DMC’s Christmas in Hollis play us out. Drop needle holiday spirit? Check.
Remember the aggressive Xmas Eve party? That’s when Hans Gruber targets the company, as they’d have their guard down. Plot reliant on Xmas events? Check.
Hans Gruber shares a name with Austrian composer Franz Xaver Gruber, who composed “Silent Night.” Deep cut Xmas references you only learn about on Twitter threads? Check.
The holiday spirit is alive and present during McClane’s takedowns. Visual cues throughout the film to re-re-re-enforce it’s Xmas Eve? Check.
Blatantly referencing the miracleness of the said season? Check.
Against all odds McClane saves the day, the hostages, and his marriage. Callback to earlier tweet referring to these circumstances as a potential Xmas miracle? Check.
So there you have it, die-hard fans. A holiday movie, a summer blockbuster, and one of the greatest action movies of all time, all wrapped up in one beautiful gift. The defense rests its case. Happy Holidays!

The Wilds characters as holiday treats to remind you that calories stopped counting on December 1st. Image
Dot is one of those holiday tins with three flavors of popcorn, because they’re both reliable, would keep you company in the kitchen at a boring party, and are the people’s princess of their respective fields. Image
Fatin is your friend who never met an event she couldn’t overdress for. She’s definitely the kind of ostentatious gingerbread house that makes the whole competition set rules next year for how much each entry can spend. Image

It’s a Boys as fall candles thread, take a big sniff. First up: Homelander. Some hate him on sight. Some have their entire identities wrapped up in his brand. Either way, Homelander is “Pumpkin Spice.” 🧵
She’s got a powerful aura and she’s mysterious! But beneath that first layer of intrigue, our girl is a complicated night sky of passions, dreams, and doubts. Kimiko is “Dark Blue Night.”
After the road trip episode with Mother’s Milk, Hughie and Starlight, we couldn’t help but dream about MM driving us up the east coast on a leaf peeping trip. MM is “Woodland Road Trip,” but we’ll let him choose the playlist this time.

Strike a match and set that autumn mood with this thread of Adam Driver characters as candles from @TheYankeeCandle fall collection that nobody asked for but we think is very necessary: Image
In What If, Adam plays Daniel Radcliffe’s wacky, unpredictable friend. He’s the scent Haunted Hayride, because you never know what’s going to happen next, and it sort of feels like you’re putting your life at risk by being there. ImageImage
In This is Where I Leave You, Adam is the family screw-up who is perpetually getting handsy with his older, wealthy fiancé. This guy is Kitchen Spice, because he’s not afraid to get saucy in any room of the house. ImageImage
